The study of clouds has always been a daydreamers science, aptly founded by a thoughtful young man whose favorite activity was staring out of the window at the sky. Richard Hamblyn tells the history of Luke Howard, the man who classified the clouds and forever changed humanitys understanding of these changeable, mysterious objects. Lesson by Richard Hamblyn

I absolutely loved this video! I have recently fallen in love with clear, sky-blue skies and fluffy, white clouds, and I'm trying to learn about them. I loved how the Nick Hilditch has shown Luke Howard's eyebrows and hair to be cloud shaped!

I'm curious, what is the rate at which clouds descend? On average I mean, considering thermals may delay that for some time.
