I went at it that made sense to me I know that if I have an interval of 3 I know that there will be at least 2 that will be the same colour but I also know that there is a chance that it wont work with only 3 so I went straight to six cause six is divisible by 3 and anything divisible by 3 has a better success rate than other numbers I went to 6 and did a drawing mapping out random lines switching from blue and red in any order I feel example b, b, r, b, r and so on and I found that every mapping always had a full colour triangle so I concluded it was 6

actually you can never gaurantee (how da hecc do i spell that) that the portal will make a triangle because it is always possible that only the edges will be blue and everything else will be red or vice versa

You shouldn't take 5 or 2 reasons
1: There is an arrangement that makes no triangle
2: If that happens, something worse will happen than being stuck in the past

Cant believe I didnt realize this sooner but if 6 works because of 4 of the things then 4 is the actual minimum amount you need but then 4 is still risky so how can 6?

Whats the minimum number of nodules? Looks at box filled with nodules.
Me: Im taking the box, doesnt mean Ill use them all but you never know what could happen.
