The Rise And Fall Of President Nixon Nixon In the Den Timeline

video description

Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
An intimate profile of Richard Nixon Nixon In The Den develops a fresh account of Nixon and his ruthless ambition to escape a loveless, impoverished background. Historian David Reynolds argues that Nixon was genuinely successful as an international statesman, with historic visits to Communist China and the Soviet Union in 1972 helping thaw the Cold War. Yet, behind the scenes, Nixons diplomacy was a story of intrigue and rivalry. The very methods that won Nixon acclaim on the international stage also doomed his presidency in the infamous Watergate scandal. With the help of Nixons scribbled memos, audio recordings and rarely seen home movie footage and photos, this film throws new light on Nixons obsessive secrecy, relentless deception and paranoid mistrust of key aides, especially his foreign policy adviser Henry Kissinger

Nixon was set up by the CIA. Howard Hunt, G Gordon Liddy and the Cubans at the Watergate Hotel were ALL CIA operatives involved in Operation Mongoose and Operation 40, Operation North Woods and the anti-Castro campaign that got JFK killed. Nixon was probably a liability to the CIA and its operations and I truly believe that Richard Helms was involved in the Nixon coup. Howard Hunt, Charles Harrelson (Woody Harrelsons father) were in Dallas on 11/22/63 as were, Johnson, GHW Bush, E. H. Hunt, Roselli, Nicoletti, Malcolm Wallace ( LBJs hitman) and a whole bunch of Mafia assassins involved in the JFK assassination. See the video, Everything is a Rich Mans Game and read Grodins book as well as Jim Marrs, Joan Mellen, and Jim Garrisons books on the killing of JFK. Watergate was a set-up and Nixon took the fall. The Buck Stops Here on Trumans desk was something Nixon took to heart and he became the fall guy. Thats what I believe.

It's amazing how America invites critics from outside its jurisdiction to participate, in the matter of speaking, in its political system. All the more remarkable as many of these voices are singly unappreciative of the privilege America provides them. The presidency itself like a lightning rod attracting charged commentary around the diverse house and complex bureaucracy of American Politics. The positives of the America Way attracting untold number of negatively charged, somewhat brilliant, flashes that do nothing more than thunder for a short time before quickly fading away to their true concerns. I think America gets the better deal, and truth be told we are actually quite fond of our so-called Thunderstorms.

Nixon was very intelligent, and an over achiever. Dem Pres LBJ lied thru his political teeth via Bay of Tomkin to involve U. S. In long civil war, so as not show dems as soft on communism; and then gave up the fight, declining a 2nd term. Nixon brought about peace. His investigation squad committed needless burglary on dem headquarters unknown to Nixon. Nixon tried unsuccessfully to cover up errors of his crew, and private conversations. Other Presidents have done alot worse? Dems and media went bonkers w that, causing Nixon to resign rather face impeachment.

Be careful What you wish for, Nixon's story is a cautionary tale, U see everything he thought they were doing against him he's actually doing to himself, I think he just dug himself in deeper and deeper the irony he won in a landslide, it was all for nothing. I think Watergate effected him deeply, in the end i think he actually redeemed himself and above all he stayed loyal to his colleagues and aids and seeing the consequences of their downfalls was terrible to him.

In 1974 I was 19 years old and had been required to register at our local draft board but I didn't want be drafted and sent to Vietnam. The undeclared war had been prosecuted for far too long at the cost of too many lives and taxpayer dollars and was unwinnable. Worst of all most of us younger adults knew that Richard M Nixon was a liar used the war as a way to remain in power as Commander and Chief with the waning support of Republicans.

the hands of kennedy reach the throat cause the entrance comes from the front, the 1st signal of pain that the brain receice is from the entrance, if the entrance would be in the back, he would open is hands backward that show the 1st signal of pain the brain received comes from the back, and would not have reach is throat
the reaction indicate where the brain receive the 1st signal of pain, the entrance
just think a bit

When Nixon got America out of viet nam that started his end. First time ask about watergate hotel he had no knowledge of breakin. BUT second time he had been told what happen and he said he had no knowledge of breakin, therefore he lied. His only crime. They considered it a cover up. Base on other presidents lying in office it hardly was worth impeaching him for it.

This account is so incredibly simplistic. N Vietnam did not ultimately respect S Vietnam's independence. N Vietnam invaded S Vietnam and the US fled S Vietnam. It was a defeat for the US. This documentary jumps from Haldeman and Erlichman being fired to all of the sudden Nixon resignjng with no explanation as to what lead to that.

All Nixon had to do was destroy the tapes. The people who set Nixon up were the MIC. THE leverage for everything he accomplished played out with aliens and alien technology. The living ghost of Jackie Gleason. These docs. Hover 7 floors below the truth barely touching on any reality. Kissinger is very much alive.

Unless you lived through it you can't imagine the scandal at the time. Everyday on the news, the Senate Watergate committee, Liddy and Hunt, Dean and Mitchell, Judge Sirica, Deep Throat. What a cast of characters. Dominated the nations news for a year and a half. Glad Ford pardoned him to finally end it.

He didn't mention that asking S Vietnam to ban out of the talks was an act of treason. It occurred 2 or 3 days before the election. Johnson found out, but said nothing. Nixon was a stone crook. He undermined the authority of a sitting president, so he could strengthen his position as president.

He was a butcher. Nixon and Kissinger supported the onslaught of the West Pakistan army on innocent Bengali people. West Pakistanis killed around 3 million Bengali during the onslaught in 1971 but Nixon turned a blind eye and supported the Pakistan Army.
Nature repaid his evil actions!

Had Richard Nixon been a democrat or his Congress Republican, the Watergate would be today just another enviable DC address to work and live.
Today, just look at how Dementia Joe easily avoids even serious questions about him and his beloved Hunter. For starters.

44: 20 the difference between Nixon and Hillary is, Nixon did not delete his recordings.
He KEPT them for their ultimate delivery to the American people.
As wrong as he was, his corruption level was only in the junior leagues compared to other leading politicians.

So Hillay Clinton and the DNC can spy on the Trump campaign and then a sitting President, use a fake dossier to trigger the Mueller Investigation full of partisan prosecutors costing tens of millions. Get fined by the FEC for basically lying. Clinton is a crook. A disgrace

I was 6 years or 5 when he passed away. I think the moment he knew about the break-in he shouldve make an statement and distance himself from all this. Everything does come to light in one way or another. Saludos desde California

His sabotage of the 1968 peace tlks in Paris by Johnsons attemltewhihc could have succeeded. Thus, extending the war until 1973 and the total war 1975. how many lives did this. Cost by this slimy two bit crook.
reply

I voted for him and I would vote for him again. He was one of the best presidents. He was being impeached when he was stopping the Vietnam War. It was believed that the Democrats didn't want to stop the war! !
