I have been watching a few documentaries on Nat Geo recently released Tutankhamen's gold in advance of the GEM museum's opening in late 2021 and the planned exposition of the full contents of his tomb in the new space. They spoke of the recycling of goods from one generation to another, the inclusion of many childhood artifacts of Tut in his tomb, also the gold mask and the discussion point of the face being created for Tut's burial; and the idea of the crown belonging to his father or mother based on the solder mark seam around the face that this docu also raises. The general construction technique for a mask like this is to make it in components and solder them together, we still do this today in fine jewelry construction. Wooden/stone or cheap metal faces and crowns are sculpted as a base on which to work. and you hammer gold sheet onto them to create the forms that you then lift off and work to inlay or decorate as separate forms that are then soldered/sewn together to give you your final hollow mask. The face seems to be a different shade of gold to the rest of the mask and this could be intentional for an aesthetic need, not necessarily because it was made at a later date and from a different batch of gold. The Net Geo documentary series has had the gold content of the face and the crown analyzed and they are the same matching gold content as the crown. but again you can unseam a faceplate and melt it down and create a new one for the next generation, so I don't think that counter argues the idea of the face being created for Tut and the Crown still belonging to his father or Mother. what would be interesting is an analysis of the lapis and the eyes and chemical comparison to the lapis and other minerals on the crown/collar to see if they are from the same mined batch.
The Net Geo series also raises the idea of Aye taking Tut's intended tomb and wife for himself and giving Tut the smaller tomb. When you walk into Aye's tomb the burial area would have comfortably held Tut's multi-layer funeral temples as opposed to the barely fitting ones that Carter found. the sawn-off feet of Tut's outer coffin giving rise to the notion that he was buried in haste and in borrowed or lesser planned aesthetic and ceremonial circumstances.
There is one thing that still intrigues me. When Carter opened the first chamber with all the chariots, there were thin fragments of gold on the floor, he meticulously gathered them and kept them not knowing what they were. It turns out that they were decorations on the leather harnesses for Tuts Chariots and they have only recently been reassembled over the past 2 years in a micro mosaic technique. So that said, why are there so many missing inlays of blue lapis /glass on the back of the solid gold funerary headdress. if Carter was willing to pick up flecks of gold off the floor and save them, then where are the fine panels of color inlay that are missing from the back of Tut's mask? if infact the mask was made new for his burial as asserted by the most recent Net Geo series. surely they would have been inside his coffin and cataloged and saved in the same process/manner as those fragments from the floor.

tutankamun was continuing with his fathers religion which the priests did not want so they hatched a plan to kill tutankamun and have in his place hepshepsut who would revert back to the polythiestic religion which gave the preists their clout. it is the reason as to why the tomb was the way it was(only a storage space)why the mummification was intentionally botched, why his tomb was placed to the right instead of the left(female location)why his heart was not in 1 vessel(so that the soul cannot not enter into eternity)it is also why a female pharoah was adopted that once in the history who would wear a false beard, now if the egyptologists cannot figure that out then they are even more useless than i had first thought them to be, it doesnt take a brain surgeon to figure out what happened, im surprised it has never been mentioned by anyone till now, if i had been a little more dumber than i could of been an egyptologist,

20: 11 How could Ay plan to rule Egypt after Tutankamun when Horemheb was the iry'pat, the designated heir (Tutankhamun had no male issue? It is now thought that Horemheb was away on campaign, probably in the Levant, and Ay buried Tutankhamun and assumed the throne himself before Horemheb could return. As for Ankhesenamun, there is no mention here of the Zannanza affair and the possibility that Ankhesenamun wanted a Hittite prince to be her new husband and not Ay. Furthermore, Ay tried to designate his own son Nakhtmin (from his principal wife) as his heir in turn, but he was succeeded by Horemheb, who stabilised the kingdom and appointed his fellow general Paramesse as successor (Ramses I, thereby establishing the 19th Dynasty, which was very successful (though we need to temper Ramses' II monumental boasting more than a bit. This is a fascinating part of Egyptian history.

9: 58 can someone explain how we know this for a fact? Like wheres the evidence that it was left in chaos? Also, how do we KNOW that aten and amun were at odds? Are there paintings, sculptures, scrolls, etc that depict this disagreeance? why arent these archeologists actually showing where theyre coming to these conclusions/theories? All i see is them showing statues of the pharohs, paintings, w mysterious background music, and then stating dramatic claims that dont even correlate to the actual image being shown. like i said above, theyre not showing WHY theyre coming to these conclusions. This all just looks and sounds like a show tbh. Its all just for entertainment, the truth is definitely still being hidden

The Intro to this docu is false! And throughout the narrative! As we all know king tut never betrayed his father but after his father demise the priests of Karnak were plotting to over throw akhenatens family because they didn't want to loose their position of power ever again (Also it was easy to control a ten year old child ). So both him ( King tut ) and his sister were married to each other, when king tut came of age the priests along military commander murdered the boy King and hastily had him buried with his family's jewels! What I would like to know who is pharaoh Smenkare who appears right after Ahkenatens death? Is it nefretiti in Drag as a man or is He ( smennkare) Akhnatens Male lover?

What a made for TV Production
Even befotevthe DNA Tests - the History that explained away half their presumptions existed and any Student of Ancient History knows the point I reference.
Tut's widow/half-sister did not want to marry Ay and dispatched for the King of the Hitties, a for of Egypt. to send his son so she could marry within her level and he would become the King of Egypt.
The Prince died on the way to Egypt and its assumed he was Assassinated.
The Medias of this Country are out of control with the amount of History and Current Stories they create.
It is Unethical and potentially Criminal.

at 1: 58 which is about hte 9th time you showed his (Tut's) wife in statue, you keep on saying King Tutankhamun. You are off and wrong and how can you say what was his and not his, you were not back then, plus he was a chariot rider which a wreck claimed his ride. this video is all alone on it's idea's and it is all so WRONG. This must have been from the 80's. before they found out DNA and more evidence.

After watching this doc, it dawned on me just how precious Tut's treasures were. Just having the treasures alone is major, but these are artifacts from Amarna, from the time of Ahkenaten--treasures that would have been destroyed if they hadn't been put into Tutankhamun's tomb. Just think--if those Amarna artifacts hadn't been placed in the tomb, all we would have had were the damaged wall art.

There is a hypothesis that this is actually Nefertiti's tomb. Most of the possessions are more suited for her. And also this particular tomb is designed for a woman, not a man. One thought is that the body is not Tutankhamun, rather it is Crown Prince Thutmose. There are still two chambers in the tomb that have yet to be explored. It would be interesting to see what is in them.

Its
actually wrong. Ankhesenamun's letter to king suppiluliuma of the hitties! Ankhesenamun asked king Suppiluliuma for a son so she can marry as she was very afraid and didnt want to marry Ay. Only Suppiluliuma's son was murdered by Ankhesenamun's rivels and Suppiluliuma destroyed Egypt and Crippled the country. Later Ramesses or actually the Ramession goverment took over.

Treasure was amassed from numerous sites by Carter, placed inside the tomb and proclaimed to be Tutankhamen's.
The mummified remains are probably those of Thutmoses.
Egyptian authorities are TERRIFIED that modern science will expose the greatest archaeological HOAX of all time.

Egyptian subjects are over covered and ridiculously not understood for how much attention it gets.
The amarna period is more fascinating to me though.
But the only thing the pyramids are good for. is piling up stuff we are either lied to about or we just haven't got a clue.

Tomb sealed for 3000 years? Why is it that REAL INTEREST in Ancient Egypt happened only in the past 200 years? I am telling u, the whole historical timeline is off. 3000 years? Nobody else found that tomb in all that time? Really?
