A body inside a coffin which it is too large for, missing genitals, and an obvious overbite are the clues which set the Mummy Investigation Team on the trail in this mystery. They know who the coffin was made for a female Egyptian temple dancer what they need to know is who rests there now and why this mummy is in such strange condition. Extraordinarily, what they discover is a tragic tale played out at the highest echelons of Egyptian society, set at the court of one of Egypts greatest Pharaohs

I'm puzzled that they didn't consider the possiblility that this is the right coffin, and this son of Seti and chanter of temple psalms was a eunuch who took on the role of priestess. Weren't chldren sometimes dedicated to the service of the gods and raised in the temple? Also, I doubt that he was malformed if he was serving the gods. didn't offerings to the gods have criteria of perfection?

In the case of them saying that the person they're studying wouldn't have been able to eat or talk properly, I find that highly inaccurate. There are people today that still live in Africa with the same facial qualities that are perfectly able to eat and talk in fact it's a sign of beauty in their culture. Who knows they might be a distant descendant of those royals

You originally said he would have had trouble eating with his teeth like that. You have also suggested a priest. Priests often fast and eat a simple diet. Both of these things could make him be on the skinny side. Your other ideas are without any proof

I'm still surprised that they didn't think of doing DNA analysis to determine if the mummy was related to the other royal mummys with similar features, and make the remodel black, because they have already proven that the Pharoahs were black people

I have a question. I presume that since their skulls were very similar that the reconstruction of the face would also be not unlike a likeness of Ramesses II. However, the face on his statues at Abu Simbel look nothing like this. Why?

Like it ronald Reagan told you the most ceitical issue deo Magno aeterno sacr santi petri petri patronis coelestis religionis avitae forman opere est cultu esplendidiori restituerum templun vetutaste dilasum an on 1839 he is saint Peter

Would not be surprised that the mummy was put in the wrong coffin when it was discovered, moved, etc. Chances are the people that did it could not read hieroglyphics so just put it in a coffin that was not where it came from.

That with the bone in the head they added all that to explain tools etc. Anyone that seen 1 documentry about mummies know that bone fragments in the head comes from the nose. Joanne is so good i think. Love this series

The recreation face is not accurate He had a severe overbite Probably would not have been able to keep lips totally together and probably was a mouth breather, which would change his mouth and nose area as well

I keep watching these hoping they'll be interesting, but they spent this whole one pretending to discover the most basic thing everyone knows about mummies. Gender and skull fragments from brain removal.

The lack of gloves and sterile fields is concerning. The chemical analysis being conducted without mask and gloves seems worrisome. The introduction of outside chemicals might influence the results.

Why did Egypt allow their mummies dug up and put on display. Disrespect and awful way for anyone to do the dead. I am glad for king tuts curse seems he knew what was going to happen to him

When was this mummy collected? I know back-in-the-day a lot of people would just stick a mummy in an empty coffin the pawn it off to the westerners. I wonder if that's what happened here
reply

When they did that experiment, it made me squeamish and I felt it for some reason, like I could imagine it. I loved the experiment, but I hate the knowledge of how they did it.
reply

easy answer: the person in the coffin was probably someone born male who lived as a woman and that was respected in her death by giving her a lady size coffin
reply

The way the reconstruction woman does there eyes and eye brows are rediculous shes drawn them on herself come on if you cant say for certain then dont put them on
reply

You know what I pondered on yesterday. Why we dig up and display the remains of humans. Who are mostly Egyptians? I mean who else is displayed more? Weird.
