Rating: 4.0; Vote: 1
Before 2015, it was common to hear that Alexander Hamilton was, by far, the most undervalued of all the American Founding Fathers. But with the explosive popularity of the Broadway musical Hamilton, that statement is no longer accurate. Hamilton fever swept America, and he became one of the most popular Founding Fathers, as fans of the musical flocked to historic sites and bought out shelves of books associated with him. Hamilton was not just important in the founding of America. He was also a fascinating historical figure and tireless public servant

Being a believer and follower of The Holy Scriptures (having repented of his past, Hamilton shot his first and only shot toward the sky to show that he would not intend to harm his opponent; but, Burr was a selfish, self-serving and ambitious one with conceit weighing heavily on his shoulders. Alexander Hamilton was so brilliant as opposed to Aaron Burr (an ambitious Jew, one of very few at that time, that Burr would have been considered non-essential when compared to Hamilton. Hamilton, a major part of the USA in his every efforts while on earth, should be mourned since the nation lost part of its foundational soul when Hamilton was murdered. Aaron Burr actually murdered Hamilton because Hamilton fired into the air before Burr fired his gun; pure murder. Burr's characteristics can clearly be seen today, 2021, in the federal and state governments where traitors openly stroll in a Fools' Parade of deceit, lust, perversions and hatred of everything that is part of the USA.

i remember sitting in school. listening to the instructors on Hamilton but they never failed to mention AH's mother was a prostitute. and i would sink in my chair and cringe from embarrassment. but that inspired me to read more about him. at my home in the library i found a volume of his financial books and i read them while in high school. perfect fit for his cabinet post and he's the stuff US history is made from.

Alexander was not a immigrant. he was a British Caribbean slave colony. he was born wealthy. He was adopted by a rich woman. Hamilton is a American fantasy. nothing to do with immigrants. like ALL BRITISH SETTLERS THEY WERE RACIST, SLAVEE TRADERS AND EXTERMINATED THE NATIVES. AND STOLE THEIR LAND.
MILITIAS WERE ALLOWED TO KILL NATIVE CHILDREN AND WOMEN. IN THE INDIAN WARS

You missed so much, and so did the play. Hamilton was a strong advocate of the old-style British aristocracy (primogenitor & entail) and wanted the Founders to adopt it - which is really why Jefferson hated him so - they never got along. He defended the rich and well-borne (his own words) above all else. Not surprising from a man so centered in matters of money and the Treasury. .

Wasn't Hamilton the founder of Paterson, New Jersey and established textile manufacturing there, which became the USA's original hub of manufacturing. Hamilton deserves more than a play. Ironic indeed he was killed by Burr, who's only known for killing Hamilton and being tried for treason under President Thomas Jefferson although Burr believe in women's rights.

It sounds like this guy was a real piece of work. he could not challenge his opponents physically, so he penciled whipped everybody he came across and played both sides, and when it came down to a duel, he had no choice but to accept his fate after he screwed over so many people. sounds like he was a great American. Lol

Love your videos. It's concise w/o having to watch an hour long and mostly boring documentary about someone and there's some funny side comments too which helps with keeping what we learn with us.

This video is just paraphrasing the musical. Not a single new thing. Also, Hamilton was no saint, and Burr wasn't all villain. And Hamilton did most definitely trade in slaves for his family.

Enjoyed the video; I wish there was more about Hamiltons exceptional service as an officer in the Continental Army, which included leading the crucial bayonet charge at Yorktown.

i'm unsure of where exactly, but i heard that alexander lied about his age in order to better appear to employers when he was working at a very young age.

What a white wash. Way to totally omit the fact he is responsible for instituting the public national debt system that will lead to our nations downfall.

I'm ashamed to admit as someone who loves history as an adult, but as a kid I only learned who Alexander Hamilton was from the Got Milk? commercial

Ideology of Thomas Jefferson was more, democratic, humanitarian & liberal than any other leaders in his time. He was a great visionary founding father.

FYI, there was actually another paper written, aby another founding father, the Anti Federalist papers. Incredibly interesting to say at the very least.

I loved the book, it shows how deep the musical is, and every lyric has meaning.
That said, James Reynolds was a greater villain than Myrah.
