Just here to say that extends breastfeeding does NOT cause low iron! Maybe ONLY breastfeeding past the first year of life might lead to low iron. Maybe thats what he meant but said it poorly. Yes, breastmilk is not high in iron, but if delayed cord clamping is done, the child gets all the iron they need for an entire year, without any supplementation necessary.

I really want to know how these theories persisted for so long. There can't have been any evidence that things like blood letting actually worked.
Kind of makes you wonder what people are gonna look at in a thousand years from our time going like man I can't believe those guys didn't know how to cure that!

1. Don't live with your animals. Animal diseases do jump over once in a while and they're horrifying.
2. Have good garbage disposal. Cats are your friends, rats are not. Dogs are iffy.
3. This is most important. Keep your drinking water away from your poop water. When they mix, you get mass casualties.

Honestly, small pox it was the most virulent disease and its mortality rate was super high, if you did survive it it was with massive scars and who knows what else. At least with the other diseases we can cure them with medicines but small pox the only thing effective enough against it was with vaccination.
