Mary, Queen of Scots (AKA Mary Stuart) is one of history’s most disastrous queens. From the time she became an infant monarch to her tragic demise, Mary attracted attention. And she still does. For centuries, novels, television shows (see the CW's Reign for an example, and even songs have reviled and romanticized her. So behind all the legends and mythology surrounding her, what are the important facts about Mary Stuart Mary, Queen of Scots was a scheming power hungry, narcissistic and histrionic nightmare. I am obsessed with European Royal History, so believe me, I'm an expert on the subject. She tried hard to userp where she when she could. And, up until the day she was beheaded by The Virgin Queen and her ministers, she called herself Mary, Queen of Scotland, England and France. That's why Elizabeth had no choice when she was caught in yet another plot to kill Elizabeth and steal her throne. Bullhit Mary Stewart. Bullhit!

She's my direct ancestor a few times over on several different limbs. My husband's as well. Turns out, most of us are directly decended from all the royal and noble families of the world, no matter your race. Alot of Europeans died out during famine and sickness, so it makes since that those better off would have better health, thus surviving.

A crazy detail left out from Mary and Darnley’s marriage is that Darnley murdered the aforementioned David Rizzio right in front of Mary during a meal, suspecting that she was pregnant with David’s child. This murder directly led to his downfall and later death at Kirk o’field.

I have seen or read this story several times and it still baffles me. I just don't understand, for the life of me, why Elizabeth I kept Mary hanging around on English soil for years suspiciously plotting against her. And then finally saying, OK, off with her head.

We watched There's Something About Mary (1998) all the time my sophmore year at Doane University when I lived on First Floor Frees.
I was actually a pizza delivery boy less than two months after the film was released.

Along with all the illegitimate half-siblings, Mary actually had two legitimate older brothers who died as young children. If even one of them had lived, her life might have gone very differently.

Nice. But you really butchered the pronunciations. Basically all place names and people names are pronounced wrong. Earl of Moray for example is pronounced Earl of Muh-ray. Not More-ray

That's so weird. I was just looking up Mary Queen of Scotts last night. And it's not like it's a algorithm thing in this case.
