What If Dinosaurs Never Went Extinct?

How cool would it be to see a real life T-Rex? If only that one fatal asteroid never hit Earth. Would dinosaurs still be alive today? Would they have evolved? Would humans have survived this long? Could we ever learn to co-exist? Until 66 million years ago, dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes roamed the Earth. Intelligent, adaptable, and sometimes weighing as much as two jetplanes, it-s hard to believe that it only took one rock to wipe them all out. Of course, this was no ordinary rock. Sources and more

Dinosaurs were th dominant species in mst ecological niches and mammals were still mostly small and nocturnal. If the KT extinction hadn't happened, then very lttle would have changed. The bird group of dinosaurs would have continued to evalve for flight and would have largely replaced Pterosaurs. New mammals would have evolved, possibly including primates. But it's very unlikely that early hman ancestors would have survived and developed in an Africa full of giant Dinosaur predators. So the evolution and spread of humans is very unlikely. In fact, the role of modern humans might even have been assumed by a highly intelligent dinosaur species although this is just speculation. In any case, it would be a dinosaur planet, not a Flintstones planet with dinos and people too.

Okay now we all know how they went extinct. the lord cost a huge flood(tsunami) and the Dino-s drowned from the huge flood and you might be asking -then how come the mosa isn-t alive well this is when the meteor came in. So after the impact the toxins from the meteor began to rise to the atmosphere causing something called acid rain. The acid made it so that the mosa would die from the deadly toxins from the rain and pterosaurs were only able to survive the two major problems because they hid inside caves and after a short time they began to evolve into you guest it modern day birds and there ya go.

-We'd see a real live T-rex on a protected reserve. -
Well, no - we wouldn't. You're ignoring the fact that evolution continues to take place, asteroid or not. All of the species of dinosaur that got wiped out 65 million years ago still wouldn't exist today, because the T-rexes, velociraptors, etc would've evolved over that 65 million years into something else.
It's unlikely humans would've ever survived anyway.

Alas, missed another one. If the dinosaurs _had_ survived, it's highly-likely that the proto-ferrets humanity evolved from would've remained a food source for smaller dinos, and intelligence would've evolved, if ever, out of some dinosaur species (intelligence evolves first in carnivores, but survives longest in omnivores--just to ponder.

Who says dinosaurs didn't shrink in size? What about those tiny lizards hunting flies and whatever other insects might be living in people's backyards? What about the slightly bigger reptiles some people have as pets? Their ancestors might have been as tall as a multistory building and just about as heavy.

That rock wasn't a rock it was how humans and most of the animals we know 1st came to teraferma. you humans are the hybrids of 2 ancient species and the ship was a teraferming vessel that purposely crashed to start the teraferming so no the world would have evolved a reptilian bypedal sentient life eventually

Jurassic world fans in 2019: If dinosusrs never went extinct we could finally have Jurassic world but real!
Jurassic world fans in 2023: ahem. imma cut you off right there
-after the deminion movie-
Jurassic world fans in 2019: never mind.

In my believes i think Dinosaurs wouldn't be a direct problem but more like over time. I'm sure that they would destroy crops and other animals that we feed of today and cause for food scarce globally. And that might just be the tip of the iceberg.
reply

If the dinosaurs never died out, it is most probably we would never had the chance to evolve at all. and if we did, we wouldn't be as socially and technically advanced as we are. We'd probably be still swinging in the trees. But it's good to imagine
reply

What if we were to domesticate Dinosaurs like modern day Animals, Such as Dogs, Horses and Cows. Would it be possible to domesticate a Hadrosaur like Parasaurolophus? What about keeping dinos as Pets like Oviraptor or Deinonychus?
reply

If mamals never evolved, might dinosaurs would have evolved to inteligent beeings. So might humans would still exist, but we would be dinosaurs. Sounds cool, but beeing cold blooded would stop society for half of the year.
reply

Apples to apples sadly we humans would have already extincted most of them by now and most likely all of the big predators would simply be stuffed in museums. Save a few maybe who would be kept in Kim Jong Un's pits, lol.

I like these what-if's: )
I think most of us have pondered these questions during our lives and it's great to see graphic explanations of answers we may have considered.
Thanks for putting these videos here.

This is rather silly. If the non avian dinosaurs didnt go extinct then the mammals we know today would have not evolved including us. Dinosaurs coextisting with humans is just flintstones nonsense.
reply

I'd say we would survive considering how some smaller animals survived and stuff, however we wouldn't have the sivalazations we have today sense we probably would be hiding more and wouldn't meat.

That astroid hitting on the perfect time perfect place and extinct perfect amount of live hood this is the clear indication of Gods power and capability its sad but it was for the better cause
reply

If dinosaurs never went extinct, and let's say society still forms in this timeline, we'd likely be hunch backed, digitigrade, egg laying, feathered creatures, that are likely carnivorous
reply

Wow. Birds are dinosaurs. They are not gone they did evolve. There are between 9000-11000 different types of birds on our planet. And everyone of them classifies as a dinosaurs.
reply

-If that asteroid hit a little bit earlier, a little bit later, or missed the earth, we-d live in a very different world today-. No we wouldn-t exist, we-d never have evolved.
reply

1: 55 that's completely false. All the continents were already split apart and had been that way for millions of years already, they were just closer that's all.
reply

Humans wouldn't be here, Dinosaurs would evolve into smarter creatures, and mammals would still be nothing by furry rodents running under their feet.
reply

Sorry for late comment this is in 2023 but dinosaurs have evolved and haven't went extinct the chickens we eat are literal dinosaurs. 0: 27
reply

Humans as we are, we love hunting, some even do it for sport. Most probably they'd be extinct still because of excessive hunting.
reply

More boring than I expected, I expected evolution of saurians to take on a sapient characteristic and become an intelligent species.
reply

If dinosaurs never became extinct, I wonder if a sub species of Dinosaurs might have evolved into an intelligent species like Humans did?
reply

I don't know of the past but if they were today. Their meat would be sold in kgs for the ever greeding man. The man. The king
reply

I do think that it was all fated. Humans cant live with dinosaurs, they would eat other smaller animals and even humans.
