What If the Ocean Was Transparent?

Oceans cover roughly 70% of the Earth's surface, but so far, humans have explored less than one percent of what lies beneath. What would we find at the bottom of the oceans? What kind of creatures would we see? And how would this clarity affect the ecosystem? What makes these waters murky? Well a number of things from floating sand, phytoplankton and all sorts of living orgnaisms that aren't just fish. But imagine if none of this were blocking your view?

Plankton blooms make our oxygen supply as well not just earth plants. Without the plankton blooms we're all dead. Over a third of our oxygen comes from the oceans. If we keep polluting and killing our sea cleaners like the sharks then man will doom himself unless God intervenes. Think about it!

For a perfectly-clear ocean, we-d either need to add a substance that changes the way light interacts with water, or change how water acts by rewriting the laws of physics. This is because water is slightly translucent, absorbing EMR and reflecting and scattering light along the blue wavelengths.

- phytoplankton, microscopic animals, sand makes the water blue/green
- without them fishes would disappear.
- currently there are 2 zones: photic & aphotic. But if sunlight could travel in deap sea there will be warming up of the whole ocean water resulting in less oxygen.

If it was clearc you know how scary that would be to see all the way down below much much deeper than the grand Canyon. And imagine going for a swim and seeing that view. I would shit my pants
reply

That would be worse for me with thallasophobia
Its scarier that you cant see whats down the oceans but its def much more scarier to see what's down there

If the waters were transparent, then we would be able to see the wrecks of Britannic, Lusitania, Bismarck, and last but not least, the Titanic.
reply

Considering that we've already found giant squids in only 5% of the sea, I don't think I'd wanna see the other 95% in the transparent water.

Now there's another story for, what if, ,WHAT IF all the oceans in the world. Just suddenly dried up for no reason, where would it leave us?
reply

I thought ooh transparent ocean? It seems good. I completely forgot there is never a positive thing that comes out of what if
reply

The sea creatures would able to look at us as well clearly and made us their breakfast, lunch or dinner or even light snacks.

Raper leviathan in the murky water when it go transparent:
