What If You Could Swim in Titan-s Lakes?

What if-. you could swim in Titan-s lakes? Saturn-s largest moon, Titan, is unique. It has its own atmosphere. Not only that, it-s the only planet or moon other than Earth to have bodies of liquid on its surface. What would happen if you decided to swim here?

Titan's lakes are essentially supercooled liquified methane. We don't think you would -plummet- to the bottom of the lake (because gravity is 1/7th G) but buoyancy is certainly less than water. Density of human beings: abt 1. 01 g/cm3; of fresh water: 1. 00 g/cm3; of salt water, 1. 02g/cm3; of liquified methane; 0. 424 g/cm3. So yeah. Not going to Titan to shoot the curl anytime soon.

If you are 70kg on earth, you would still be 70kg anywhere in the universe. The gravitational force in N/lb would be in fact be 1/7 of that on earth. Kg is a unit for mass which does not change with gravity unlike force.

The 70 kg vs 10 kg thing is not right. Mass is unrelated to the planet you're on. It would be weight that is different, and that would be mass - gravitational pull of the planet (F = mg)

I went to Titan once it had 3 eyed aliens doing rituals and alien pirates stealing my supplies, on a side note I ran out of ammo killing a bunch of em

-if you weigh 70 kg on earth, you'd only weigh 10 kg on Titan. - please. Such obvious and basic mistake shouldn't appear in a video with such a topic.

-And the gasoline like rains-
The United States government: we have planned 72 trips to titan to study the rain. First launch is tomorrow

I wonder if there would be two layers, since methane and ethane have different densities. Kind of how theres brine pools underwater on earth
reply

I've read that one scientist said that you didn't have to wear a space suit on Titan, just very warm clothes and a respirator with oxygen.

nasa is making a flying craft called dragonfly, it will effortlessly fly on titan collecting data and videos of the methane ocean

What is Titan I'm only nine and if the lakes are safe i still wouldn't probably swim there because i don't know how to swim
reply

Lmao people gotta stop day dreaming about occupying other worlds. They were not made for our current mortal selves.

-you can't be able to go surfing on these lakes-.
yess, that's the thing I'm really worried about. -
