What If Earth Had a Global Hyperloop Network?

Imagine traveling at the speed of an airplane, but on ground level, and in a giant tube. That-s the idea behind the Hyperloop, a network of incredibly fast moving pods that can carry passengers to destinations all over the world, reducing travel times from hours to minutes. But how would that work? Would it be safe? And what would it be like to ride in one of them?

Why do you keep pushing hyperloop onto us? The Chicago Loop evaluated and found that its capacity would be significantly less than mass transit trains, and the practical applications isn't realistic at all. Why would we want to live further away from the city? I'd think that that we'd all wanna live in the city if we have to work in there, because we are inherently social creatures. Furthermore, we are very close to clean green aircraft. We all know we've passed the point of no return, so we need to have future industries and transport -pollute- the earth with more oxygen, more nitrogen, to balance the content of the atmosphere, reducing the greenhouse gasses. Hyperloop would have to source energy from magic, I suppose. Trains however, have regenerative braking that produces enerrgy, meaning that as they are operating they are functioning as transport, and creating energy.

the Global Hyper Loop could only happen under a world government as the governments right now are now at extreme tensions with each other. and not all nations liking each other. with Iran threatening america. its very unlikely something like a Global Hyper Loop will happen in my life time. People would first need to give up the ideology of racism. and Adopt a ideology that people are Beings and are equal. next a Planetary Government system installed to give the world a sense of unity and then a project like a Global Hyper Loop system can be built otherwise if someone attempted there would be governments that will object and or try to destroy the hyper loop.

Well since it uses maglev you could easily bring it to a gradual start combine that with a network of sensors that detect the problem far ahead of time it would just be a simple matter of creating a posing magnetic repulsive forces that would slow it down gradually and then the fact that the tube is extremely low pressure so this basically means that it would essentially allow you to come to a stop more quickly because you don-t have to work against air pressure you don-t have to work against friction so using maglev for gradual stopping and utilizing advanced city planning using an artificial intelligence disorder of plot out the network of tubes

The problem with the hyperloop is that it will take a long time to be ready for public use.
I think it would be better to use methods which are already usable. For example the Japanese are constructing a new Maglev connection between Tokyo-Nagoya-Osaka. They will we move with 500km/h (300mph) which is about half the speed of the hyperloop. The big advantage is that is possible to start constructing right now.

That would be a horrible world I would not want to live in. Because that would mean extreme wealth disparity. Only the very rich could afford to go on Hyperloop. It would also destroy all nature on earth, and would be insanely dangerous. It is like traveling in space, but just a few feet away from the ground. Instant death.

the pods aren't cramped the'er wider than jet seating. don't trains slow down when they turn. don't you think the hyper loop would do the same. and why do you think it would make a sudden stop? do jet plains make a sudden stop, wow what IF you did some research so you can talk facts

What if tunnel is the exact wide of the hyperloop train and when it makes a turn it would tilt a few degrees the same as rollercoasters and the outer surface of the train has millions of tiny metal balls and the acceleration would be the works of magnet pulling the train

0: 36 imagine you will ride though the curve with 1200 kmh. It will instantly kill you.
The big problem are: How the pods ride through turn. There is no plan and tests out there. 2nd: The capacity is only about 1500 passangers/hour. A rail can carry 10x more people.

Well, if the earth finally gets a world wide hyperloop network, the. It would mean every single government in existence is in bankruptcy and there's literally no money left to do anything, not even operating said hyperloop network to gain back the losses

Im kinda disappointed, I hoped for a more detailed analysis. Especially the high initial cost of installing hyperloop systems wasn't mentioned at all. An other major problem for a global network would be protection from intentional destruction.
reply

wait, the hyper loop is not meant for traveling between countries. It's a step above a train and just below a plane. So if you lived 2 hours drive out in the suburbs, with hyperloop you could get into the city for work in 15 minutes.

It would be fantastic! I said it before watching the video! They will find a solution for emergency stops and platforms to get out the pod and escape to a platform so they can be alarm the emergency central.

3: 12 -A sudden halt at these speeds would be 10 times worse than a car crash at 110 km/h- Nope. It would be 100x times worse, as the kinetic energy grows with the square of velocity.

This giant transportation system is not going to exist, especially not in any sort of efficient or useful design such as those you see in these silly animated videos of concepts.
reply

Where did you get all this information. I am doing an academic research project about the hyperloop and really hope you could give me the sources about this video
reply

Hyperloop is for domestic travel, or international in European regions
For really far intercontinental travel, Starship is up to the task

reply

Hyperloop is really fast but it has to able to avoid stopping for traffic or stopping at each station, which is the main problem with trains.
reply

Yeah I can see how a giant evacuated tunnel stretching thousands of kilometers could totally be cheaper to build and maintain then a train.

For all fellow indians and viewers across the globe the first mumbai-pune (india) hyperloop test is successfull. and it's a reality

Do it when each ethnic group can own its own planet and develop it. Do not make Earth to one dominant group's toy.

The Hyperloop is viable between two major cities, as has been proven y Elon Musk, Ryan Janzen and many others.

What if we only have hyperloop and manglev type of tech way before car and airplanes were invented.
