What If a Magnetar Entered Our Solar System?

This is the most powerful object in the Universe. The biggest spinning magnet to ever exist. It's the cosmic equivalent of a great white shark. But it wouldn't eat you. It would just turn all your atoms to dust. If you thought neutron stars were big and scary, well, you haven't heard of their more powerful stellar cousins yet. Like neutron stars, magnetars are leftovers from supernova explosions

A Magnetar is a type of neutron star and it's formed out of a supernova. There are two types of neutron stars and it's Pulsar and Magnetar so I don't get it why you say -if you thought neutron stars were big and scary- since a Magnetar is a neutron star -what if and they're very small not big but yes scary.

An object halfway between the moon and the earth that has 20 times the mass of the sun and you're worried about credit cards. dude, the entire planet earth would be shred to pieces and devoured

I can-t believe the title of this video was -what if a magnetar enters the solar system- and the outro said -what if a magnetar enters the solar system, is a question for another video-? Lol

-But if a magnetar come near our solar system. That's a story for another what if. -
-We've been tricked. We've been backstabbed. And quite possibly bamboozled! -

These what if will never happen since our solar system do not have stellar object that can turn into these things. And if it did earth there be no solar system.
reply

Magnetar: hello earth, I am cominnnnng.
Earthlings: haha nice try, but we have carbon fibre cars and clothing. We even have rubber PPE. To you can attract us.

What if: -If one of them came near our solar system, that would be a story for another what if. -

moral of the story there are more important things to worry about than a natural cosmic event that can wipe us out since we dont have any control over.

When a star dies 3 things can happen if it was 5 it becomes a black hole if it was 4. 5 it becomes a neutron star it was 8 it Becomes Magnetar

reply

We're currently 4000 light years away from one right now. Every 18 minutes we get signals and we can now see it.
reply

meanwhile a magnetar is 4000 lightyears away as discovered just today. it was nice knowing you guys.
