Wearing a strong magnetic suit kinda like a x-ray gown butt over a whole coverall type suit and fallimg into a manhole sized copper pipe, or just the final however many feet of copper tube needed to decelerate would work because of the unique magnetic Interaction between copper and magnets. It slows down the magnets as they drop like a controlled decent. Im sure it could be calculated easily as to how much copper pipe at the bottom of the tube would slow a person after jumping from a known height if one wanted to use this tech to make an escape apparatus from heights, but i dont know if its practical economically, or even physically practical. just a thought

Not a good idea. Gravity is a b----. There's a massive metal pole each in the north and south. We should be glad that magnetic fields are in the atmosphere. It protects us from foreign objects from space.
