this is NEVER going to happen, look how construction is on earth, im in australia, it takes the govt 5 yrs to upgrade a stretch of road that goes 3miles, lol, how long would it take in REALITY to build one of these things? it takes 5 years to build a tunnel for cars that goes 5miles, so this thing would take AT LEAST 1, 000yrs more like 10, 000yrs to build, probably more, where would we get the materials from and the skilled labor from? its not gonna happen, but it will make a cool movie one day

I remember on The Simpsons, the professor(Fink) predicted in the distant future computers would be vast and twice the speed of that day(wow. Vast computers miss the point. An advanced computer would be a 'quantum' computer with miniaturization, not gigantism, the goal. Even now, we run up against the speed of light as an asymptotic limitation. If we could make the entire CPU at the atomic or sub-atomic level, that would be an accomplishment.

I think the idea behind building a matrioshka brain and uploading ourselves into it would be to be conscious about it. The question would be if it is possible for a digital living being (like our consciounsness) to forget that is inmortal, that has unimited computational power to its disposal and how to use it. Why would we live in this world if we are inmortal? Why would we choose to face death again?

What they're showing doesn't seem to be spheres so much as rings within rings. I figure if the can build the space elevator, and, then, build onto a stationary ring, and, then, continuing to build onto the ring system, we COULD have something like this in a few dozen lifetimes

The problem with this idea is that an advanced civilization would have probably come up with a better idea than this that we could not possibly comprehend today. I believe 150 years from now someone will have come up with a much better idea for harnessing the sun.

if each particle of the Marostica brain was a computer with unlimited computer power, and ai revolted, we would be in trouble. it could send astronomical weapons that we created against us. it could fire giant cosmic beams at us, killing us.

Idk if it is real or fake but what if we are also the micro organisms like the micro organisms which exist around us and we are living upon an organism which we don't know.

If we go and start to mine entire planet 's and moons and such, so we need to balance for the mass and gravity that we remove from the solar system?

I'm scared of dying because I don't know where will I end up heaven or hell so if we build mitrioshka brain we could upload or minds in it

it would be like God and/or the Akashic records. perhaps it's already been done before by an alien civilisation and that's what we call god.

would be scary if it said -detecting multiple leviathan class lifeforms, are you certain whatever your doing is worth it-

Pretty sure god is proud of us as his creations. Hopefully he doesn't think we're psychopaths, or laughing at our wide imaginations!

let's not run before we can walk: how about first building a regular size computer on earth that fckn works properly first!

How do I know if I am a computer code? Simple. I will ask what if to create a video on that. Brilliant idea, isn-t it?

When you already question your existence and then you also have to doubt if you're actually real and not a simulation
