What If the Universe Isn't Uniform?

In a galaxy far away, gravity didn't quite work the way it does on Earth. And the speed at which everything moved was really weird too. Maybe, some places in our vast Universe just don't abide by our laws of physics? And if that was true, what would it mean for us?

If the physical constants or the fundamental forces of the universe (gravity, electromagnetism, and the strong and weak nuclear forces) were different from what we know by more than a few percent, then stars would be unstable--they would either supernova much more easily (dangerous) or not at all (i. e. no spreading heavy elements for the formation of new planets, or they might not even generate fusion energy at all.

Couldn't there be already bubbles of 'false vacuums' expanding out at the speed of light? The laws in these bubbles could be different. It would also likely kill everyone if it enveloped us. As it moves at the speed of light we'd never see it coming

The amount we know about our planet, or think we know, equals such a low ratio, I don't want to add the zeros. we know. what we think we know about our solar system, nothing more. Science is made to be disproven.

Man I wish I could be around in like 1, 000 years to see all the technological advances and seeing new planets and galaxies but instead I-m just in quarantine wasting away until no one remembers me.
reply

The fact you said that we could be wrong about anything scares me. What if we are wrong about the age of the sun? What if it's older than we actually think? What if it explodes tomorrow?

This video shows the consequences that will happen if the universe isn't uniform, like inability to know the exact age of the universe and difficulty in space travel as examples.

This is why I believe in God, and his words, not science which changes depending on the next discovery. atheists are embarrassing and will be humiliated when they meet their Lord
reply

Dear god please learn the difference between farther and further. You embarrass yourself when you are talking about distance and use the word further. SHEESH!

-What if there are some species living in space without being dependent on any planet and without being affected by any known physical activities like gravity heat etc
reply

It seems everyone has been wrong. Maybe it's a mystery that can't be figured out! Or maybe the universe isn't even real. But that's a story for another what if.
reply

that's funny how people assume their perception of the universe is right. i mean, it's so huge there's no way that it is how humanity thinks it is
reply

Thh, what if space in the galaxy was actually infinite, just the objects are expanding and taking the place, creating, changing etc?

Thank you so much you did accept my request. I had suggested you this video in your community section. keep up the good work. ---

Stars orbiting a planet. Lol the one who propose that theory long ago will jump for joy in the afterlife saying: I told you.

Maybe one day, we can call it earth physics, andromeda physics. Maybe some planet don't need a star to support their organism
reply

my mind cannot begin to grap what we don't fully understand yet. infinite possibilities in an ever expanding universe.
reply

The first what if that has endless and unbelievable possibilities and the one that brakes the minds of galaxy brains
