Here's a survival tip for ya involving honey. Everyone recognizes a honeysuckle flower. Collect a fat handful of them, and put them in a small Mason jar, (the little ones for jellys) cover that with honey and put in the fridge. Every 2-5 day, flip the jar over. THE flowers floating to the top again and again release a chemical found in them, which reacts with the honey. After about a month, fish out rhe flowers, squeezing the honey off them back into the jar. The remaining honey is now a delicious, and relatively well working cough suppressant. Bet you never imagined honeysuckle could do this when you were sipping thier juice as a kid. Now you have a simple recipe for a cough medicine that, one, will never spoil, and two, no kid on earth would fuss about taking his medicine.
