If you could hear planets, it would likely be a very different experience than hearing sounds on Earth. Planets do not have an atmosphere like Earth, so there would be no air to carry sound waves. Even if there were an atmosphere on a planet, it would likely be composed of different gases than Earth's atmosphere, which would affect how sound travels through it.
The only sounds we can hear on earth are the ones that travel through our atmosphere, as sound travels through a medium such as air or water. In the vacuum of space, there is no medium for sound to travel through, so we wouldn't be able to hear any sounds made by planets or other celestial bodies.
It's also worth noting that, even if we could hear sounds made by planets, they would likely be very different from the sounds we are familiar with on Earth. For example, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or meteor impacts on a planet would not create the same type of sound as they do on Earth, as the geology and composition of the planet would be different.
In summary, it would be an extraordinary and unique experience, but as planets do not have an atmosphere to carry sound, it's not possible to hear them.

Strange how planetary sounds reflect the names given to them. Mercury sounds fast (named for the Messenger God, Venus is almost singing (named for the Goddess of Love and Beauty, Mars sounds chaotic and stormy (named for the God of War, Juptiter high whistling and booms like slowed lightning stikes (named for the King of the Gods who uses lightning bolts, Saturn sounds scary (named for the God of Harvest who harveted and ate his own children, Uranus sounds like the wind (named for the God of the Heavens. let's not talk about what Saturn did to him to create Venus, Neptune sounds like water (Named for the God of the Sea, Pluto sounds like the bells of the underworld (named for the God of the Underworld, Earth sounds busy, Gaia (Greek) or Terra (Latin) is the mother of all life. so busy

My opinion how they sound:
Sun: My ears are gonna burst
Mercury: Camera on the ocean with strong wind
Venus: Siren broken
Mars: Strong wind and your inside
Jupitar: Screeches
Saturn: It sounds like the rings make the sound
Uranus: ( i heard the sound once ) An airplane going through wind
Neptune: Forest in the dark
Pluto: Intense music
Earth: -I dont sound like that-

My physics professor told us that if space wasn-t empty and sound waves could travel through a medium similarly to our own atmosphere, the sun would be so incredibly loud that it would be like having a jet engine in your face constantly. Even through the atmosphere which would muffle the sound just a little bit.
Other stars would be so loud that space would be deafening.

They all sound the same as they always have, if these sounds or heavens music ever stopped, all life everywhere would die or already be dead. I can hear them and kudos for getting them spot on.

What if youv'e shut your mouth for a dosen of seconds and turn of the background music, than we would actualy hear the planets sound. All I hear now is bla-bla-bla-bla. So annoying.

Technically, I was expecting Neptune to sound like a tornado or just simply strong winds cause it-s home to the most powerful winds in the solar system

So you decided to keep the bgm track on while we tried to hear the actual, unadulterated sound (electro magnetic vibrations. Interesting style of edit!

I love the sound examples, but it really would have been nice if the background music was turned off completely during those times, you know?

Now the sound of Venus rocks! Holy shit! How does NASA feel about sampling? This would be killer on a soundtrack\industrial album!

What I REALLY like about What If? is the great researching of finding clips to illustrate the premise. Kudos to the research staff.

I can imagine how loud the sound of Jupiter would be due to its magnetic field being even bigger than the Sun
