One problem with searching for 'bio signatures' is sort of mankind's hubris that any life out there has to be like human life. This could be the same issue if alien life forms are looking at the earth and not seeing us as life because our signatures their tools would pick up they would not see as life.
It's one thing to be searching for planets with basic lower lifeforms such as unicellular life, or plants or animals on them meaning we could survive there because no matter how well we treat earth moving forward our resources are limited and we will have to populate other worlds to survive as a species if that us at all possible.
The question is we already know how old the universe is and that we have not stumbled on any life equal to us yet, are we the first because the universe had to grow to contain enough possibilities that one place would finally support our biology, or are we the last as once the universe expanded past where our galaxy and solar system emerged there could no longer be such fragile biology such as we are and all like us have perished in ancient times or before the earth ever nurtured anything more than building blocks of life.
Are we more likely to find any type of life with civilizations and space going technology in where we were once were in a much smaller universe or is it more likely that ancient civilizations formed nearer the earlier parts of the universe that have expanded out into an ever-growing universe. And really what is the oldest part of the universe, do we really look back in time when we look back at that glow that is supposedly the remments of the big bang, or is the material that speeds out ahead of us as the universe is pushed outward really what was first as the universe that formed

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is a powerful instrument that is currently being developed by NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA, and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to study the universe in unprecedented detail. One of its goals is to search for signs of life on other planets, but it's important to note that the likelihood of finding alien life is uncertain, and the telescope's capabilities are not directed to search only for it.
If the JWST were to discover alien life, it would be a groundbreaking discovery with enormous implications for our understanding of the universe and our place in it. It would also raise a number of ethical, philosophical, and scientific questions.
The discovery of alien life would likely lead to an intense effort to study and understand the biology and behavior of these organisms. It would also likely lead to a renewed effort to search for other forms of life in the universe.
The discovery of alien life would also have a significant impact on society, raising questions about the implications of the existence of intelligent alien life, and the possibility of communication and interaction with them.
It's important to note that the discovery of alien life, if any, would require further research and confirmation, and it would be a long process that would involve multiple scientific disciplines and international collaboration.

Alien life may be closer than what some people think. 0n 27. 05. 19. 1. 20am. I was taking a video of what I thought was a star, lost focus and refocused on the next star that came into view. To my surprise this was not a star but an elongated craft. It appeared stationary or was moving slowly, and was pointed at the front and illuminated toward the rear built-up area. The video was taken towards the Hercules constellation. Also on 10. 04. 21. 11. 21am. I took two photos of a round black craft with angled wings. It shows lights or propulsion system along the top edge. It does not look like any conventional aircraft that I have ever seen before, but looks more like something from a sci-fi movie. And the question is are they from Earth or somewhere else?

I think most people would not care about the existence of other life forms until it impacts their day to day life. It would just be a distant concept and just another day. I can also imagine Religions simply re-interpreting their scripts to make it all seem like it fits. Then there will be a minority that cannot accept this new reality (reference those that could not accept there was limited quantity of toilet paper left during the pandemic. Personally, it would provide me with great motivation in life as it would add even more purpose than I can already identify. I'd probably try and find a job that allows be to take part in the forming of inter species contact or communication.

All right, I'll add my two cents on to this. If alien life was looking back at Earth to see if there was life on this planet, more than likely, depending on their distance all they're going to see is the dinosaurs. If by chance they have almost instant travel, they're going to be surprised when they get here and find NOT the dinosaurs. same thing goes for us if we find life, by the time we get there it could have been wiped out.

The only thing the jwt will find is dreamers. We live in a tornado, it's so huge we call them galaxies. The issue is the objects that will block the views rather than what one might see. Billions of galaxies. So dream on dreamers. The reality is, unfortunately they won't tell you what is out there as the images instantly become intellectual property. For sale. So paying to see the absence of object. For that is space.

Eventually software will show a -relationship- between cosmic reality and human observation, and that will be a major paradigm shift! You look -out- sixty thousand billion years, and that much -reality- shifts into position, because it is now no longer flat empty -data, - but organized into a -thing. - Your thought is now an -object- in another dimension and exists in infinite variations forever!

We are all living proof that life exists in the universe- egos aside, I cannot understand why people doubt it possible elsewhere. I would say it-s more likely there is life vs not. The Big Bang shot out the same materials which made up everything in the universe. I would assume many similar elements in other planets- add the right amount of sun and water and voila!

there are some problems with the Big Bang. Albert Einstein is one scientist that said the universe is 13B years old out of all the others that got kicked out and said no. so you all believed in one scientist WOW! why are we so in line with the other planets? why is the earth perfectly tilted so we have seasons? that is by design.

The possibility of alien like animals existing on other planets is highly likely considering how vast and infinite space is paired with the constant expansion. Whether or not it is human or human like is up for debate. The planet K2-18B is apparently a complete water world like Kamino in the movies.

Even if there are other life out there te dust from our bones will be gone before we get to see it all we can do is be successful in this life and for our future humanity they will get to see it im sure there is life out there question is will we see them or not i doubt it

Plot twist: aliens are still in their stone age when they receive a message from us and it starts a religion on their planet which slows technological progression so they never leave their planet and the planet dies with them in some sort of a apocalypse.

We Live on land with all living conditions, other species live on water with their individual living conditions. Can't say there is no living conditions for aliens to be existed or no life on other planets. It's just that we are not able to identify it.

Honestly, the strange way the narrator stresses his words was so distracting I had trouble paying attention to the content of the video. I-m not sure I would have noticed if he were to say we had just discovered intelligent aliens.

Two important facts we have no correct answers: Do aliens life exist other solar systems in Miky Way galaxy and how many stars are there in Miky Way galaxy? I hope someone has the correct answers and wins the Nobel Prize.

Humans 2 million years. Earth 5 billion years. Universe 15 billion years. Humans have lived 1/7500 of the existence of the universe. It is hard to believe that we humans are the tip of the spear of intelligent life.

Honestly, I think we are not alone in the universe. There are millions and millions of galaxy-s and planets, so there has to be at least some life out there. It could be bacteria or even a weird looking lizard.

If you generally think. Big Bang generated numerous Galaxies giving birth to --> Time+ Science + Math + Physics. -ONE PLANET- (Earth) -Cannot possibly be the only successful story in the Observable Universe.

I argue that the terminally ill should sacrifice themselves and be embarked on spaceships for one-way trips to space, in order to go as far as possible and look for evidence of alien life. It's the only way

Imagine webb finds a whole civilized alien world except because it's so far away, we'd be looking into the past & come to find that the alien civilization has since been extinct for thousands of years.

Even if JWST finds alien life, the World will be kept in dark at least as much as possible. The next would be to gain some technology from aliens strong enough to rule the world for rest of life.

Dang! Mark my words, there are planets like Kepler, which already confirms tht biological extra terrestrial will or does exist!

It would be a great breakthrough to see extraterrestrial life. If it is not just microscopic life, it will cause huge religious debates through all cultures.

To study the history of our universe?
That's boring. then what?
To search for alien life and habitable planets
Now thats cool and exciting!

The aliens will be too late the way things are looking here on Earth. Imagine what earth would look like if there were no people screwing everything up.
