What If We Poured All of Earth's Water on the Sun

Things are getting hotter and hotter here on Earth. It's getting out of control. So we're going to take all of Earth's water and pour it on the Sun. Maybe that'll cool things down a bit. Is this even possible Why is getting to the Sun so difficult And once we drench the Sun, what would happen to life on Earth Support us on Patreon: Get the What if book: Join this channel to get access to perks: Interested in sponsoring our episodes or collaborating Email us: contactunderknown. com Our other channels: How to Survive: Aperture: T-shirts and merch: Newsletter: What If elsewhere: Discord: Whatsapp: Instagram: Twitter: Facebook: Produced by Underknown: #whatif #earth #water #sun #space #cosmos #science

BS! Global Warming is a fear mongering myth! The Earth is still far colder than it ever used to be, and is still recovering from the last ice age! During the age of the dinosaurs, the average temperature on the Earth was about 10 degrees Celsius warmer than the Earth than it is now! After the last Ice Age which occurred in 9701 BC, and they occur every 100, 000 years. They have only began keeping track of temperatures in 1880! Even when the Dinosaurs were on the Earth life managed to survive, also during that same period, there were no polar ice caps, there was lush vegetation at the poles, and the Earth was not flooded! There have been far more natural events and human created events like massive wild fires, volcano's erupting, nuclear bombs, and Earthquakes that have done massive damage to the atmosphere than the industrial revolution! The sun is getting hotter, which means that our sun will eventually burn itself out! Stop lying!

These videos are all very interesting and informative, but I noticed that since you have started cutting away the camera to show yourself speaking (back and forth, it truly interferes with being able to concentrate on the story. The problem is most viewers are trying to visualize what is being suggested in the outer universe, and this is continually bringing concentration back and forth. Bad idea. I stopped watching more than once out of frustration. Just a suggestion.
Otherwise, I appreciate the time and research that is put into these videos.

Sun is not a BALL of fire it is just a gigantic ball of very very hot lava of 27, 000, 000 Degree Fahrenheit while earths hottest volcano can reach up to 1, 300 to 2, 400 Degree Fahrenheit
Plus
If you pour water in a volcano the water will be turned into stone or obsedien '' not a mincraft reference ''
So imagine what will happen if you pour all earth water to a ball of lava that is 26, 997, 600 to 26, 998, 700 times hotter than our volcanos

Let's not muck around with a piss and a trickle, lets crash Ganymede into the sun which apparently has about 8 times more water than earth, following that we will crash europa into the sun which apparently has about twice as much water as earth, pluto is also expected to have as much water as earth, also lets grab the contents of saturns rings and shoot that into the sun.
Its gotta make some difference. Maybe.

reply

I didn't watch the video yet and I can tell you exactly what would happen to us if all the water was to even touch the sun long story short. DEAAAF(Dashie Voice)
Human beings can only live three days without water and if you took every single drop of water on the Earth and put it on the Sun we would die within 3 days some within two depending on their health situation

reply

All that construction will definitely mess with the environment and scenery. will cause some of the local birds species to go extinct. Getting approval will be a nightmare . yeah. But we're trying to pump all the water to the Sun. What do you think it would do to the environment Duh. Forget the permits and the environmental protesters, just start pumping!

WHAT IF THE GIANT ICE PLANET, URANUS, CRASHES INTO THE SUN, WOULD IT THEN BE. INJURED
But Uranus would bee tooo small, but if you would compare this amount of water, PLUS from the earth, AND other Planet and moons with water, maybe then.
OR NOT crash into it, but comes it Dangerously close, just Not the earth. THAT WOULD BE, SUNSYSTEM AGAINST THE SUN

Getting hotter on earth Apparently this winter storm doesn't count especially considering that we're in a quarternary ice age, kinda like the eye of the storm and we'll go back into an ice age, people blame humans for the heat and pollution, but there are natural things on earth that pollute a lot more and create more greenhouse gas than we do
reply

lets just put it in simple terms. if you used ALL the water (liquid, gas, solids) and dumped it on the sun. it'll have the same effect as dropping a tiny drop of water (like a wet finger that you flick a little water into oil to test if it's hot or not) into a 375F 1gallon of frying oil. poof then gone and no effect on the oil itself.
reply

Okay. Before I watch the video, I have two main thoughts:
1. WHY would we get rid of all our water We kinda need that! :P
2. Since water is mostly hydrogen, and the Sun is mostly hydrogen. instead of putting anything out, the Sun would instead just be like Yum! We'd be literally giving it a bit more fuel. XD

reply

We'd have to figure out what elements destroy the elements of hydrogen and other elements of the sun to destroy the sun. How about we join all of our gold together and throw it at the sun. Would that do anything Probably not, it would probably just burn and be gone fast.
reply

No one with even a hint of intelligence would ask this question. Also the sun is not 'fire'.
Why not ponder what would happen if Europa (said to have more water than Earth) plunged into the sun. Answer, the sun gets a tad hotter and brighter and it's life reduced a tad.

reply

First of all, it most likely doesn’t work. And second, why use water from Earth If we’re already going to do something silly, why not use the water on Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons That moon contains nearly four times as much water as our entire planet
reply

99% of all life is dead within a week. Some persistent insects and bacteria may survive the initial world dehydration but will eventually starve to death, leading to a complete wipe of life on Earth. The Sun is pretty much unaffected.
reply

At 0: 41 and already know nothing is going to happen to the sun. If all planets of the solar system could fit into Jupiter and Jupiter is about 2% the size of the sun then it would be like a drop of water falling on a bonfire.
reply

All the water pours upon the sun in order to let it cool down Is this a silly hypothesis I'm not mentioning how to do it; but for the sake of size differentiation, it's like a drop of water pour upon an erupting lava.
reply

Sorry mate: Whatever you are
on; I don't want any of it! Notwithstanding the research required; this episode of WHAT IF was just plain silly. The humour dying away as the narration endured. Switch off!

reply

So humans became advanced enough to build a portal to drain the oceans directly to the sun. But. still dumb enough not to understand the difference between chemical reactions and fusion reactors. Got it makes sense.
reply

An Earth sized comet, comprised of frozen water, dust and rock will vaporise if it orbits close enough to the sun. From millions of miles away, it will be like droplets of water falling into a thermonuclear furnace.
reply

I thought Americans are very logical and advanced in science but by the time i understand you guys are more disturbed than a disturbing person. why don't you guys make a video what if all humans pee on the Sun.
