What If You Made an Actual Model of the Periodic Table?

What if you took your school assignment to the next level and decided to collect physical samples of as many elements as possible? How far into the periodic table could you get? Would you be breaking any laws? At what point would your periodic table start killing you? If you-re willing to spend $1, 700, you could actually buy a ready-made set of the elements online. But where is the fun in that if you can make your own collection from scratch?

I myself am an element collector and i-d like to point out a couple things wrong.
First of all, beryllium poisoning only occurs if beryllium powder is directly inhaled. I have held solid rods of beryllium with my bare hands many times and turned out just fine.
Also, Lithium, Sodium and Potassium only burn in moist air. At room temperature, they will just slowly crumble into a white powder in the presence of oxygen. Also, sulfur does not react with chlorine in STP. As for the radioactive ones, it depends solely on the amount. For instance, I have a small shard on rhenium that is plated with a bit of Technetium, some promethium-painted radioluminous dials and a polonium anti static brush. However if you had dangerous quantities of those elements, they would not explode. They would release a stream of bright blue light and you-d be incinerated in mere seconds from the heat of radioactive decay. Not to mention, everyone near you would get acute radiation sickness and die within weeks

My Magnetic Periodic Tale Tiles I made from wood tiles, adhesive magnets, and black ultra-fine Sharpie are completely unlike the element samples. Heck, I like to pretend that they are actual non-toxic, non-radioactive, non-reactive humans who turn into atomic-superpowered epic heroes who can OHKO an evil villain, e. g. an anti-matter element played by another wooden tile. If only chemistry weren't such a jerk.
Speaking of elements, I am thinking of starting a new car marque called Avogadro Motors. The car models names will consist of their element symbol, followed by the Atomic Number (like the Avogadro C6, not to be confused with the Citroen C6. The Avogadro C6 is a carbon-fiber supercar, not a sedan. They will be found all over the world, excluding North Korea. The slogan song will be a parody of -Poetry In Motion. - I hope you'll visit an Avogadro dealer soon! -Avogadro Motors, part of the Infnivers Group. Chemistry In Motion. - -Avogadro Motors Commercial Logo

Wow, good job writing a script that is suspiciously close to Randall Munroe's explanation in his book -What If. - It's interesting how many of the observations and reactions you described mirror his writing exactly.

Please make a video on:
1. What if there were no electrons in atoms?
2. What if Earth did not have a magnetic field?
3. What if Humans could hear Infrasonic and Ultrasonic sounds?

i just think it shouldve been assumed that NO protection equipments are to be used. you would die as soon as you reach beryllium as there is such a thing called beryllium poisoning.
reply

u forgot how caesium and rubidium would ignite the surface that it's on and would explode by reacting with the water vapour in the air. pottasium too would react with air and ignite

(I-m that introvert friend -)
Jk lol
No one invites me to parties

I love how im 15 and cant buy alcohol or drive a car, but i can buy highly radioactive elements and create an explosion by simply mixing them.
reply

it would be cool to make a periodic table, however I would have glass and cork barriers between them as I do not want any of them to mix
reply

That what if is actually real some one made a real life periodic table without any radioactive elements like uranium and plutonium
reply

I am selling nuclear weapon for as cheap as 2000$ anyone intrested
Ayo -Kim Jong Un- i got your fix man come pick it up

reply

Oh come on there is no neutron to begin the nuclear fission of those elements
You stated it wrong as a nuclear bomb

reply

I was thinking before watching how he managed to discuss all the elements in 4 minutes
Well he skipped most of them

reply

WHAT IF you throw a full box (inside their respective containers, glass, etc) of those items from a very high place?
reply

You'd die from all the extremely radioactive materials on the periodic table. Saved you all 4 minutes of your time.
reply

Just because something is radioactive, it is not fatal or even dangerous. It's all about quantity and time.
