I know of a few things preventing humans from settling on Mars.
Firstly, where would we get the soil to grow food inside a greenhouse dome Martian soil contains high perchlorate content, which is toxic to both humans and plants. It also lacks mineral nutrients and living organisms that help plants to grow. Martian soil is also alkaline, which can inhibit plant growth and lead to nutritional deficiencies. The perchlorate content would need to be removed from the soil and then mineral nutrients added. Food would need to be grown for humans AND livestock.
Secondly, (and this is a big one) Martian gravity is only about 38% of Earth's gravity. Have you ever seen astronauts returning from a long time in microgravity When they get back to Earth, they can barely move. That is because our bodies evolved for Earth's gravity. When exposed to lower or no gravity for extended periods of time, the body loses muscle and bone mass. Exercise can be done to mitigate some of the loss, but there is no proper way to maintain gravity on your organs and fluids. The lack of resistance from gravity can lead to muscle atrophy (meaning they get weaker and they get smaller. It also causes problems with the heart and the body's ability to regulate blood pressure is reduced. The fluids in the body don't have gravity to pull it down, so it tends to shift upward. This can lead to a reduction in vision or even loss. The low gravity can also affect memory and cognition. I can't imagine living on another planet and slowly losing brain function due to a lack of gravity.
That being said, I desperately want to see humans set foot on Mars within my lifetime. but I want those humans to be able to come home if necessary.

There is no PLANET IN THIS GALAXY or any other that HUMANITY COULD OR WOULD BE ABLE TO LIVE ON NO MATTER HOW HABITABLE. Humans since the establishment of the first city state in the first crescent to today cannot agree on anything that maintains civility for more than a decade maybe two before humanity is ready to destroy itself again over any dumb idea. Consider long-term space travel. Don't say stasis, that track is sci-fi BS. The conditions of that confinement would drive 98% insane to the point of death, 2% would not be the humans who began mental degeneration in some ways that matter to humanity would be going due to communication degradation and other social skill losses just as a start.

I’d be golden without the internet, having it is more of a luxury to me. I didn’t start having constant internet until I was in my 20s and I’m in my 30s today. Where the internet was around years before I ever had it and I was very content back then, I’m also someone who didn’t get their first phone again until my 20s when I could buy and pay for it myself. This wasn’t by choice but living that tells me I’d be good without internet if it shutdown today.

What if some research facility keeps dragon fly in a big enough area for them to hunt prey and live without any predator, and they kept in a high concentration of oxygen or they gradually go higher every 2 or 3 cycles. Maybe like maxed at 50% or lower oxygen, will they grow in size

The internet is such a fine source of general all knowledge when someone tells searcher seekers that the real Egypt was the Grand Canyon and not North Africa.
Or that is symptom of people being so skeptical of mere common knowledge today. unbelievable lunacy seemingly.

Lmao. that zombie apocalypse. a few things don't add up. zombie is a dead person. dead people don't produce much heat. their flesh is rotting bones broken. if let's say there was. Best places to go are places that are below zero like alaska or Antarctica

Put cryod embryos along with some attempts to describe them and their gestational needs, and send them off in an unheated heavily shielded craft, and hope that some technology finds it someday. Thats all that could be done with today's tech.

What If rocky planets the size of our Moon, IO, Ganymede, Callisto, Titan, Europa, Triton, Ceres, Pluto, Orcus, Sedna and Eris existed and formed in orbit around a Brown Dwarf (Spectral Types L, T or Y) or Red Dwarf (M-Type Star)

Then humans would be done. there would be too many things that would go wrong and end it. its a fantasy to think man is ever gonna travel the galaxy or even the universe. oh warp drive. good luck with that.

Did you know that even if we traveled at the speed of light, it would take over 4 years just to reach the nearest star Leaving Earth is not as easy as sci-fi makes it seem! - AI Future Tech

at the start of the video about internet talk and internet time. there is a difference between doomscrolling tik tok and talking to people over discord and laughing all night

Why do they always say domes on mars instead of square buildings. Is it a reason they always say dome, instead of building our usual square or rectangle buildings

He says for me to do my part to make extra legroom here and right when I reach for my bat and ski mask he says to be a Martian. almost had a whoopsie

Whatever about leaving Earth. One day Humana will have to leave the Milky way galaxy before we are pulled into the great attractor

I love how this video is basically presenting what 2025 will bring, except
Not everyone will be able to leave. Only the Elite.

If the Internet stopped working, I would simply go back to how I was living before 2001 when in 2001, I started using AOL.
