A way far advanced alien species would not have to attack us directly, matter of FACT it would be to their advantage to attack us from afar. The reasoning is simple, being they are so advanced probabilities their bio and DNA technologies would also be far superior to ours by thousands of years. They would merely enter their labs design a bio weapon that would target only human DNA then deliver it via a meter that would detonate in the stratus sphere distributing over the air currents eventually coming down covering almost all parts of the earth. The bio weapon would take a few weeks to start being noticed when everyone was starting to die instantly. by the time we noticed a virus like weapon most of the population would be almost dead and we would be helpless to even start to fight it. That simple. No need for an advanced civilization to go toe to toe with us.

They would have to explain a few things. like how can they breathe our atmosphere with our unique combination of gasses? How can they tolerate our atmospheric pressure at sea level? How can they get around in our gravity which would very likely be much different from their home planet? How can they deal with the microbes and viruses of our planet? Are they bringing any microbes or viruses from their planet? What technology are they willing to share? Do they want to trade? What would they want from us in return? What is their purpose for being here? How did they get here? What else is out there that we don't know about? How many other races and planets with life in one stage or another?
Lots and lots of questions.

Aliens would NEVER invade earth when it has 7 billion people fighting for their lives.
They first have to kill us off slowly. Spraying our skies, Poisoning our waters, food, GMO, vaccines, radiation, etc etc. And then they will invade and enslave.

No one is most likely coming. There are probably a thousand or more intelligent life forms in our galaxy. But the distance is far too great. There could be a living civilization on the next closest 4 starts but we would never know.
