What I figured is a safe bet that I remain my personal highest judge of reality and all claims from the outside are taken as claims until examined and proven true. I might be right sometimes when I judge or I might be wrong but what benefit I get is that if all others fall due to lack of reasonable judgement I still stand wherever I am as if nothing happened because I had an opportunity to judge the information as false and not follow. All society can collapse and I would barely be affected by anything besides food prices I guess. I made an average yearly salary in some week as a minor because I refused to follow the majority and invested well and it was not a singular investment but a streak of some 5 each multiplying my cash around 5 times. Five to the power of five esentially, if I got into it earlier I could probably buy a house as a minor if it was a streak of 6, or an entire neighborhood if it was 7. Everyone told me to keep the initial money, I refused and watched graphs. I pursued education on my own (besides formal engineering degree) on topics I found useful, and no way were they useful. I learned english from nothing to proficiency is some 4 years and I am now blessed to be able to watch and read huge amounts of information I need for my college or whatever else in general in english instead of very limited resources and low quality I got in my language. It makes life so much more efficient, accelerating success and not just stacking it relative to my peers. Single best decision in my life. Ended up barely passing english as a foreign language at school because I did not waste time to do assignments. I skipped half of my senior year in high school giving excuses or making up doctor papers that I was sick to do whatever I wished and I learned much more but it is too personal or specific to share. Mostly related to humanism like language, history, geography, culture, philosophy and related. Nonetheless it was one of the best decisions I made, and it was againist everyone around me who attempted to force me back to school which I did pass with little effort. Im 20, I picked up buddhism, realized the emptiness, and I feel fulfilled in life, I wish for nothing more. As if I completed the struggle for my human wishes and goals. I am at peace. Though I still participate in this lunatic world. From the ultimate perspective I might look like I am a low being that did not mature at all and it is true that I did not divorce myself from my humanity and the world because this comment looks like it cares for all this illusive world, but may it be a testimony to stay your ground, seek truth, and if you combine much enough and remain impartial in your judgement you will eventually achieve peace and fulfilment without much if any earthly achievement. All that you crave for and suffer for is entirely in your mind as an abstract, an illusive goal and ultimately empty of its essence when you examine it. Be a judge, seek truth, thats it. Perfect combo.

requires a debt wipe every 40 years or so. otherwise, the wealthy class grows until it rules
everything right before they let it all collapse. and rinse and repeat.
It's the phoenix 'myth'. the phoenix is a code-word for the ever-present, parasitic wealth class.
The crooked systems they set up periodically collapse from usury, aka, the 'phoenix' KNOWS it's
going to 'die' after a certain period of time. and thus rises out of the ashes with it's wealth
intact, and it picks a new name, and most of everyone else is completely oblivious to this
cyclical scheme.
Then the 'manufactured need' to erase debt can then be used as a weapon to force their will further.
This time, they'll wipe all the debt with strings attached. You'll have to surrender all your property
and ownership of anything, AND agree to move forward in a corrupted digital ID/social credit system.
In other words, take a mark of the beast, or you don't get to play any reindeer games.
The ONLY way out, is debt relief WITHOUT STRINGS. and the public is far too uneducated and unorganized
to ever even know that this is what they should demand. debt relief. NO STRINGS. That or
create a new non-fiat monetary system. that the ruling class will AGAIN spend centuries if need be to

I drove backroads from VT to NC then to AZ. Most of the USA is super run down. Most of the rest was a stroad hellscape. Saw quite a lot of hellish gated suburbs of perpetual sameness. Otherwise, you can drive along the infinite sameness of the highways. There are many areas of great beauty, I worked near Zion NP a couple winters, truly beautiful. But something is wrong, that much is certain.
I wonder about the stuff Anna Lembke said about homeostasis in the pain\pleasure system and how seeking pleasure resets our hedonic set point to suffering. But seeking discomfort and challenge makes us more tolerant of pain and more able to feel pleasure. There's a saying about hunger being the best sauce. That is true for food, but also in a wider sense. Our bodies seek out an even keel, so pleasure focus just makes our brains weight the side of pain even more. We have been doing that super hard with hyper consumption of all kinds and most of us are often miserable in the midst of so many shiny things of our dreams. We aren't built for endless indulgence, we require some hardship, like exercise. Cold water exposure, reasonable fasting, abstaining from whatever has hooks in you, all sorts of ways to seek discomfort in a harmonious way.
But we'll probably go for exploding society in gigantic horrifying waves of violence and rebuild from the ashes. We haven't been great at holding onto societal homeostasis. Seems like we like waves and turbulence.

America is/was better than the USSR at almost any single thing out there, including propaganda.
The East enforced it's propaganda and therefore the eastern citizens rejected it.
The West starved it's people of real information, so the citizens asked for what to believe and the propaganda gave it to them. Because they were the ones asking for it, the western citizens actually embraced the propaganda. After a while it became comfortable for people to just order some thinking on the go and wear the propaganda as their own conclusion and creed. This is the key point here, that the west replaced relligion with propaganda, and the ones who believe it act just like cultists when they are contradicted.
The main job of the propaganda (Lie machine) was to convince the citizens of the US that all other institutions based on the propaganda (lies) are working just fine! Because if people believe that those institutions are working fine, then by association the propaganda machine is also working just fine.
The whole point of this system is to create money not from value, but from debt. Not to free up citizens to realize their potential, but to entrap them. To propagate not truths (news) but lies (fear mongering. To create not peace but wars. Not to give a peaceful life to it's citizens but constant distraction and a life long crisys mode.

Genghis Khan would in fact score below 100 on a modern IQ test, without that being a failing of the test itself.
But if you want to understand why, you'd have to dive into how those numbers were defined.
What it boils down to, is that IQ 100 is defined as being the average IQ-score obtained when a certain test is ran across a population at a certain point in time.
Because modern people have usually had at least a formal basic and secondary education, they will score higher than a population which did not have that exposure.
Genghis Khan lived in a time period where even the elite and geniuses could only dream about having access to education on the level of our modern primary and secondary education systems.
This leads to the interesting situation in which Genghis Khan would score below average on a modern day IQ-test, but he would score as a genius if the test could/would have been set up according to it's proper definitions and criteria for that period in time.
What is also interesting is that we've recently seen that the IQ tests are in fact getting progressively harder with time and thus, people are in fact getting progressively smarter. Over the last 2 decades we've even managed to get hard measurable evidence in the form of MRI-brain scans which shows that the evolution of our brains, still hasn't stopped.

What we're seeing is a slowdown in growth because we don't have a huge population to add to the workforce anymore, and adding college degrees proved to be a paper tiger of meaningless credentials with little correlation to how productive a person could be. Adding women to the workforce beginning after WW2 and accelerating into the 70s and 80s essentially doubled the available productive workforce over that time period. It took time for salaries to equilibrate down relative to the extra supply of productive labor, so for a long time, earnings were similar to what they had been when every household operated on one income supporting 2 adults and 2. 5 children. When the reality of that set in and jobs began being outsourced to cheaper areas, also in the 70s and 80s, people understood that in order to earn a good living, one needed a college degree. So when an oversupply of students sought degrees over the 90s and 00s, colleges lowered the bar and created more and more meaningless non-technical degrees in order to collect rising tuition and confer degrees. And now the chickens have come home to roost.

The VA pays me nearly 4k a month in disability compensation, and I'm too poor to rent anything with no hope of owning. When a society discards those willing to sacrifice for it, and instead rewards the self-centered the most, it's only a matter of time until it all implodes.
You hit a good point on not only the devaluation of labor but also on the serfdom. Sad thing most people who see, think ownership is overrated. I maybe living in the woods, but my time is mine, and i get 100% the value of my labor.

All those people crammed in their tiny workspaces, untill they drive their beaters home to their little studio apartment filled with the idols of consumerism. You can not free some one that excepts their enslavement.

The policies we took ( such as 1-3% inflation of money supply on yearly basis) have many positive impact for medium to high income household and it is detrimental to low income families.
Majority of policies we have today have similar impact and it is very good for one group at the expense of another group.
All these issues happening because we have the delusion of control not realizing what the third inconsistency theorm say. A variable within a complex system cannot determine the outcome of the system in which that variables in it.
This fact is the basis of which our entire model world is built upon ( The rule that created the computer.
As we go against mathematics, we pay for our hubris with blood and suffering.

So I can provide an interesting anecdote/footnote to this that I have noticed. I work in grocery stores for PepsiCo. I’m usually in several different ones on a given day. I have noticed a significant uptick in the amount of instacart shoppers I see. I am talking about more instacart shoppers than actual customers most times. It’s quite noticeable if you pay attention. This tells me two things. One, The class divide is deeper than it appears on the surface level. Instacart is significantly more expensive than just driving to the store for groceries. Two, these are workers that have become so disenfranchised with the modern job market that this is the most palatable way to support themselves. It blows my mind that so few of us can see the writing on the wall. Great video btw

I think your clear conservative leanings caused you to downplay part of the reason why the government is the way it is. The government is bloated and politicians don’t understand the level of spending they perpetuate. However, capitalism is not completely innocent in this situation. It’s likely the best economic system for prosperity, and it’s also great at accumulating and concentrating wealth. Large companies perform anti-competitive actions to maintain their dominance and that includes regulatory capture. Part of the reason for the bloat and regulation is because it benefits large businesses who spend money to influence the government. This is an expected outcome in a capitalist society where the government can be bought.

7 - This is really just a comment on the universality of mental health problems/insanity stemming from urban life. Not many people went to universities, and i'm going to guess atheism wasn't prevalent anywhere else. I can imagine a bunch of people just faking their faith to fit in, but that's not atheism.

The statistic I like to use to measure material wellbeing is how many hours you gotta work to obtain particular goods or services, or what % of your income do different goods and services need. For the most part, the younger gens are putting the boomers to shame in terms of wealth at their current stage in life, except when it comes to housing (and some smaller expenses.
I think the problem is psychological. lifestyle creep combined with housing being so unattainable, combined with the spiritual void that gives us nothing to look forward to makes us focus at the empty part of the cup.

Talking about how we've created a two-tier economy sounds an awful lot like Marxists talking about the Capitalist class and Consumer class. And the rest of this sounds like how they describes class warfare. The only real difference between the left and the right here is that the left has bad solution to this problem, while the right doesn't have a solution at all. In fact, the right seems more interested in preserving this status quo, the way they keep favoring corporate interests.

Technically, nothing. It would logically evolve into this. There's no possible way to pull infinite product from a finite market without continuously devaluing the currency. Fractional reserve banking is perfect to do that, continuously making money out of thin air through debt, so there's non-stop inflation throughout the system. But, damn, does it look good on the books when those numbers keep going up. Never mind the buying power is dropping like a rock. The accountants and shareholders don't care about that. They just want ever bigger numbers.

Technically, nothing. It would logically evolve into this. There's no possible way to pull infinite product from a finite market without continuously devaluing the currency. Fractional reserve banking is perfect to do that, continuously making money out of thin air through debt, so there's non-stop inflation throughout the system. But, damn, does it look good on the books when those numbers keep going up. Never mind the buying power is dropping like a rock. The accountants and shareholders don't care about that. They just want ever bigger numbers.

Whatifalthist is really just the perfect image of the contemporary man because he wants leftist economic policies but thinks that the left is only about queer and race issues. The rich have been pushing this propaganda to kill of the left's purpose and utterly alienate men from being leftists but if you ask them about specific policies all of them will be left on the economic scale. People have to see this and focus on economic issues first instead of social ones, because they come on their own from a good balanced lifestyle

This video was a little lack luster. 37 minutes without really saying anything. The problem is our economy is being driven by an increasing amount of government spending due to demographic changes. Ray Dalios cycles explains the turning tides pretty well. I don’t think the USA will lose hegemony yet, but as the world’s super power we are going down the wrong path. There’s a big chance next 4 years brings on a Great Depression as borrowing becomes more expensive and honestly I’m not sure how to prepare for such a thing.

Once targeted, special interest welfare became allowed, the state we are in today became inevitable. Should have stuck to the Constitution’s General Welfare requirement instead of using it to justify loads of special interest programs.

For many decades Japan has been in a supposed crisis of deflation.
Now everyone is happy because Japan's stock market is growing again and inflation is going up to the expected goal once again.
. but during the decades of deflation people were able to save, many people opened shops and small businesses thrived, while inequality and big corporations struggled.
. now in this new Japan economy poverty and inequity are skyrocketing, just like big corporations profits

Best example of the economy being in the gutter is a single trip to the grocery store. A single week worth of stuff cost me 230 dollars just this Saturday. That means around 50% of my income per month is going just to feed myself and my partner. These fools still expect me to have anything left for consumer spending! Yea, we haven't had a vacation or even a day trip in over a decade and the last time i bought something not essential was a pair of dollar store earbuds 3 years ago.
