It should be noted that fat, is NOT fattening. unless you are like digging spoonfuls of it while watching TV. The human body has no direct path to move ingested fats into human fatty tissue. That is, without multiple intermediary steps to convert it you can't put fat. into fat. Which is why when you look at a beach picture from 1919, there is not even a single fat person.
1- we eat too much
2-we eat too much carbs (not just sugar carbs but even complex carbs)
3-We don't eat enough fat ( fat is a critical part of healing, ligaments, and brain health. it's literally what your body uses to heal wounds and injuries. collagen, etc.
4-Any heated vegetable based oil is literally death in liquid form. (coconut, avocado, olive, but the absolute worst is canola. which is rape seed oil, which is literally machine lubricant turned into food.
5-the only fats that are safe to cook to higher temps with are animal fats. The others take lipid chain damage and those damaged short chains are actually toxic to the human body.
6-High Carbfatmeat (or veg) is another literal death cocktail. The transport proteins and processing enzymes are shared. What happens is your body gets a massive inload of carbs (sugars) which it then tries to balance by converting into lipids (fat, but you also have fat in your system from eating it. So your blood fat levels skyrocket and STAY that way until all of the excess carbs are processed into balance. This results in heart disease. People need to look back at menus at restaurants from the turn of the last century (when everyone was skinny, except the extremely lazy ultra wealthy, being called FAT CATS for a reason. You will find that the meals have little carbs, lots of meat and vegetables and are cooked in animal fats.
7-Animal Fats can be dangerous too: Any Hydrogenated Fat is another death cocktail. In order to be health safe, your animal fats must be raw and moderate temperature processed. If it has been hydrogenated, it's like eating cancer.
8- There will come a point when you realize this rabbit hole is as deep as any that Whatifalthist has done videos on. When you realize that the wheat you eat in the USA and the Vegitables you eat have 25-75% less nutritional value as in the past because of soil depletion and GMO modifications. When you realize that there is something in the soil, that even no-spray, non-gmo, organic wheat tastes wrong and you didn't realize it till you ate over-seas and suddenly the breads didn't make you bloated and sick. and you realize that it's endemic to the food in your country. That you start having to order wheats and other materials from out of country, often at great expense, and you realize the meat you eat smells funny, and you start having to buy animals and ensure they are not being fed GMO Soy and Corn (read up on food chain concentration of contaminants -radiation, chemicals, etc) you understand that you are being fed things that are meant to make you sick. and shorten your lifespan to lower than the retirement age. You realize that you literally cannot afford this. It's almost a black pill, so you do what you can to be healthy, knowing that every day you are eating things that have been altered, changed, things that will kill you, eventually, and there is a hard limit on your ability to limit it.

At the end there, aren't you essentially summing up the concept of God as a huge coping mechanism We seek it during hard times, the idea is soothing and gives us stories that unify us in purpose, giving us a survival boost through cohesion. Then when thingfs are good we don't need the cope anymore so we let go of it and lose the social benefits it brings.
To me the conclusion there isn't to keep up that cycle by believing, it's to become aware of the cycle and the underlying motivations for it and use other coping mechanisms that don't cycle, like breathwork. No matter the reason for your stress, deepening and slowing your breath can help regulate your nervous system and better handle the situation. It's the universal tool for emotional regulation. When made uncomfortable by the mysteries of the universe you can choose to chill out regardless. We can make up and enjoy stories and gain value from the lessons they contain without needing the attachment of them being real. It's just the maintenance of an open perspective, acknowledging the deep lack of understanding we have as silly half-crazy monkey creatures.
I still suspect some sort of God is behind things, too much grandeur in the universe to have come about without conscious intention imo. I'm just agnostic about the nature of that consciousness because I definitely don't know what it is and highly doubt anyone else does either.

The truth of tribal societies is that thet had a massive diversity of approaches. War is a basic human instinct, so of course it will be expressed by all of them to some extent, but in varying levels of intensity and forms of expression. Competitive team sports are an expression that instinct, for example. Violence is inherent to our species and the basic structure of life on this planet, but we have vast imagination and when humanity was split up into many smaller groups, each one took their own unique approach from our vast nature as social apes. Like how all words use the alphabet, humans all have the same aspects to our nature, but there's enough depth and breadth in there for a basically infinite amount of novelty to be created, given enough time and resources.
Edit: Was just thinking about how in each area, the most violent culture was likely to be the one that spread. There will have been a greater diversity of approaches that gets homogenized by the eventual rise of the most successfully violent group. At least until you fill up the planet and want to make a stable society, the instinct sucks ass at that point. But then it can cause a mass die off that reduces the pressure again, so I guess it does still work in a way.

21: 40 Research into human attachment mechanics has demonstrated that men and women bond in different ways.
The two main bonding hormones are
Vasopresin: released during cooperative resolution of stress/cortisol
Oxytocin: released during physical contact and emotional conversation.
Men are 80% Vasopresin, 20% oxyticin.
Women are 50% Vasopresin, 50% Oxytocin.
Further, oxytocin receptors change behavior depending on conditions. With high cortisol levels, they stop responding to Oxytocin. At higher cortisol levels, they start responding to Vasopresin instead.
In the absence of high cortisol levels, if they are Oxytocin depleted for long enough, they will begin to respond to Dopamine.
This is why women must have close conversations and social touch, and need a low stress environment, or they start having problems. And it is why men isolated and unneeded tend to simply shut down entirely, rather than start agressively hunting any form of community the way women do.
This is probably why we see the phenomenon of the 50 year old layoff shutdown too: he is being vasopresin starved and has no method to refill that tank without his job.

History as a field has already decayed a lot because of revisionism. Anthropology might as well be dead because the current ideas dominating the field are just assumptions that came out of the blank slate argument and that progress must always trend towards liberalism (any other direction is just called regressive. Psychology is easily the most suspect field ever since, since psychology is an entire field composed off wild assumptions of people who assumed with enough methodology they could basically read thoughts and predict behaviors, and that humans are some sort ot machine which will output x if it gets y as an input. Whats worse, it has infected psychiatry to the point doctors are giving the same medicine to people of different ethnic backgrounds because equality must remain a constant in any field, apparently, even when it causes harm to people.
Despite that, current western society is willing to go as far ruining the lives of people that say maybe mutilating your genitals because of your mental issues isnt such a great idea.

I’ll tell you what the greatest lie in all of human history was and is - that god would ever choose a profit as his mouthpiece.
The second greatest lie is that any given class of people is ordained to rule over others, either because of physical, intellectual or spiritual superiority. Humans are a hierarchical primate species that competes for power through any means necessary, including lying as much as possible.
The third greatest lie is your point; humans don’t have psychological predispositions based on race. In the same way different races have obvious physical differences they also have obvious psychological differences, including in perceptions of morality, intellectual capabilities, priorities and predilection towards certain beliefs. That said, you cannot underestimate the degree to which the human brain can be altered by its environment. How a child imprints on the adults around them can overcome some genetic predilections.

37: 02 This will probably get buried, but I actually have proof of how severe some of this gets.
Personal metadata is granular. It's refined, and great for chasing down individuals.
But what about group metadata
Meta metadata.
Interactions with technology at scale directly reveals patterns for group dynamics that can be traced with precision greater than that scene in Batman The Dark Knight where he can see everything, through everyone's phones.
We can see when riots are starting, we can see where they're moving to, we can determine how long they'll last, the impact of them, we can model how to increase the fervor, how to decrease it, where exactly to position counter strikes, etc.
You have no idea how easy it is to do all of this.
With a snappy brain, a laptop, and access to a cell grid, I could build a network to trace this in real time in under an hour.
If you feel safe, you aren't paying attention.

The old ruling class I call peasants in power. Like the reasons for the French and communist revolution, the low class did not want to accept their status. Though unknowingly their status was determined by their character, skill, and intelligence. In their mind, they feel oppressed (like a child against a parent. Notice when they have power their character, skill, and intelligence did (and does) not change. As we saw in the French and communist revolutions (and today. They are still spiteful, petty, and tantrum ridden and low slilled, the same qualities they had in their low status, thus everything falls apart around them. Proving it was never status but themselves to blame.
PS: this does not justify any oppression but proves oppression is not always the cause.

Stopped watching after 6: 20
1. Latin America is poor because US bullied and extorted them by any means necessary for decades. Assassinations, monopolies, sanctions, coups, military intervention, etc etc. And still continues to this day.
2. Pennsylvania is poor because capitalists (not the imaginary socialist government) found cheaper labour. The asnwer author gives includes this but has it really twisted up to fit his worldview (or the worldview of the people that told him that) which is the funny part.
3. West just eded up on top during this period. As a historian (or someone even mildly interested in history) you should know of other nations dominating during different periods of time.
Agree on 4 and 5.
Still the first 3 told me enough.

You can talk your way out of a racial caste system with that same circular, false equivalency pseudo logic you were castigating moments before. It is not just IQ as an indicator. I would expect someone who is a student of anthropology as you to understand the myriad biological indicators that separate species.
You call the new right sociopaths. Perhaps you should regard their advice concerning exercise. Not because you are a bit of a soy. Because it slows down your brain. Helps you organize your thoughts.
You're a smart kid. No doubt. But it is completely obvious you are still in your early 29s. As you cling to that vestigial appendage of Boomerism. Loathe to insult anyone. Employing circular unlogic.
The real great lie
We are all the same.

48: 05. It's interesting how you were discussing how you described our current situation as tantamount to Foucault's box. Perhaps this explains why some people wish they were domestic cats instead of human beings. I'm not talking about the furries; those are exceptionally disturbed individuals. I am talking about something I saw on Reddit the other day, when people answered a question that was posed along the following lines, If you could be another creature, what would you be I think this was the subreddit Random Thoughts. I chose not to answer the question, although had I, I probably would've been downvoted for saying that I was happy to be a human. Cats were among the most popular choices. May God help us. Amen.

When in university, the paradox that I saw in the way professors presented/explained history and the economic disparities between nations could only make sense if you accepted as an axiom, one (or both) of these two:
- Western European civilization is - in someway - fundamentally superior to all other cultures
Or.
- Western European people are - in someway - genetically superior to all other peoples.
These, of course, were ideas that would have made the professors understandably apoplectic. Which is why I spent those years shocked that none of them were able to connect the dots to see that's precisely what they were saying was true.

I do believe the way Latin America was colonized has to do with why is poor. The US was colonized by people who wanted to go away from Europe and since Slaves were expansive in the american south, there were many fewer slaves than in Brazil. While a country like Brazil or any Spanish colony was colonized by people who wanted to get rich off the colonies, many even went back to the metropole and built mansions said my Spanish teacher, she is Spanish from Barcelona, in Brazil. The way the two regions were colonized is very different. And that is why also Canada and Australia are like the US and Mexico isn't like the US.

Why we accepted the lies in spite of all the information is twofold.
First, we have a hard time incorporating those truths without becoming fascistic because people suck and use whatever excuse to stomp on someone else even if for no benefit, therefore, it is easier just to ignore the truth.
Second, everyone is lying to some degree, we know as much, so what is real and fake is very hard to tease out.
Given those two things, people just go with the orthodox belief system and ignore the esoteric to keep their moral and intellectual ideas easy and comforting.

All those people before us didn't know about Plate Tectonics, Germ Theory, and Pasteur. Of course they believed in spirits and gods: they had no better way to explain earthquakes, plagues, or most other things. We do. And we don't see any spirits causing any of that, but natural, MATERIAL things. So of course we are the only ones that are materialist: we are the only ones who can see the material causes. And unless you wipe that knowledge from our minds, all your whining about ancient knowledge will never change that.

My favorite method for these times is to assume anything is more or less the complete opposite of what it seems or the consensus narrative. For example: Spain extracted a lot of gold from the Americas. Sounds like wealth right Well all that gold caused painful inflation back home in Spain. It's hard to have a mono-polar outcome, things find balance. It's like the world is a chess game and our society plays it one turn at a time vs. working to win the whole game.

Referring to the post modern world as a cardboard box is sadly one of the truest things I've heard in a good long minute.
It really is true when you consider not reaffirming it's beauty and splendor leads to the realization it's not real and even that can only be defended with who cares or using strange comparisons like well at least I'm not without the box Then where would I be
Guys Let's just get out of the box and make cool things for ourselves lol

Rudy there is a big contradiction that I want you to explain: you despise social engineering, but criticize those who mold society through unscientific methods and in previous videos you have advocated for organizing society around scientifically proven results. Doesn't that sound like the engineering of society In specific, the engineering towards the goal of human authenticity and genuineness, but engineering nonetheless.
reply

It’s actually pretty simple. We replaced Christianity and religion with not true atheism, but another faith which is atheism. Basically a bunch of people got together and said religion is fanfiction, and they made their own fanfiction ignored actual history, called it science, and instead of burning the heritage, they just ostracize them from the academic communities and universities if anyone goes outside the faith.

If there is anything I've learned in the past 10 years, it's that the CIA needs to be investigated with the highest scrutiny. There are so many things wrong with this world today that were the effect of some project led by the CIA. I really hope that Trump dismantles the CIA, IF he even makes it to office. It may be a bit paranoid but, every day that passes I feel like we are closer to having another JFK on our hands.
