I LOVE vintage/retro gaming. I was 6yo when we got our 1st console in 1976, an Atari Video Pinball/Breakout -dedicated console-. We got the Atari 2600 a year later & I was the 1st kid in my school to have it. In 2001 I went on a collecting spree & amassed 16 consoles/250+ carts. I don't collect anymore, nor do I even use my consoles much. I just use emulators. I don't care about having a physical cart/system. I just want to -play- & I love the convenience & freedom that emulators afford me. :-)

I think my favorite piece from my video game collection is my Pocket Monsters game for Sega Genesis. No this is not a licensed game from Nintendo or Gamefreak which made it very hard for me to find. It is banned from being sold on ebay or amazon but every once in a while it may pop up under some sort of different spelling and float under the radar. I was lucky enough to randomly catch it one day for about 60 bucks and it is the prize of both my video game and Pokemon collection.

I've got Kid Dracula ( cart and manual ) in mint condition, as well as Castlevania legends. Both cool games for the collectors. I also have the rare Star Hawk which is quite expensive to own. My fave is Parodius which is near mint CIB. I love Game Boy collecting!
I now own a mint copy CIB of Kid Dracula, so very happy to own at last! That takes me up to 516 games for the original Game Boy. Getting closer to the full set.

I got Donkey Kong Country 2, The Incredibles: rise of the Underminer, Peter Pan: the motion picture event, the jungle book, Super Mario Advance and an original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. All for the Gameboy advance: ) probably worth nothing but I'd just like to know if they are: )

Tengen Tetris isn't worth that much. A nice complete copy might still cost you $100-200, but they made a lot of them and they were on shelves for longer than 2 days. I own three of them.
Now, Tetris for the Japanese Mega Drive, on the other hand. THAT's worth thousands.

Pokemon Red and Blue were made in 1996 in japan and 1998 in america, made for the original gameboy but could be played on GBA and Gameboy Color. I can't imagine it being -so old- for someone no older than 12, so may I ask how old you are?

best deal i've ever gotten on any video game
went to Gamestop last week to sell my CODBO and Halo 4 for 75 cents and they actually paid me in quarters this time instead of the usual nickles and dimes for my big visibility used titles

n64 1 controller and pokemon stadium 2 paid 40 for all not separate
Gamecube: 3 controllers (not original controllers) and nfs underground and mario baseball paid 35 $ console and 15$ for both games
What do you think the price is?

My best-ever deal: Earthbound, in box with guide, $15. Box and guide are a bit beat up; cartridge has a sticker showing it either had its battery replaced or was from a rental store, but it's still worth -$250+.
