i can imagine the main spinal column of the suit being tied to the stilts using a series of various pole sizes, think of it like one of those weight lifting machines. the top and bottom are mated together using a single pole with holes along it cut in half and a slightly smaller pole in the center of the two halves with matching holes. after he is in the suit the center point is held down using a single pin. this way the upper of the exoskeleton isnt bearing down on his shoulders.

Unfortunately, for us, scheduling artists who are working professionals in the business requires us to be flexible with their, often busy schedules. We do hope to produce this lesson one-day, but we don't know when and it seemed better to release the brilliant stuff we did have instead of waiting for it ALL to be done. - David

Mr. Winston, when are you guys going to do a part three to Animatronic Creature Creation? I just received the first two in the mail and am totally happy to have an eight hour master class from such a great artist, but I really wish the third one, with the eyeball goodness, (blink, up/down) was around. Please give serious consideration to producing this missing piece! :)

Yeah, and they say that the Japanese probably took months perfecting, but they did it in a matter of days. But, even if that's true, it's not cool to say. Because as designers know, it's way easier to create when you already have a reference vs -building from scratch-.

A couple of Japanese guys came up with the skeleton 1 year ago. Couldn't they just pay them for the CAD files, instead of just making one up. All it takes is a phone call, and a paypal account, how hard is that? Some people aren't living in the age of internet.

Amazing. I know how these mechanisms work, but I have to admit that I was fooled. I thought it was way more than just bars. A pity no one told me this thing was around when I went to Comic-Con this year; I didn't find out about it until the following week.

Is there anywhere around that actually explains the arm rig in a bit more detail?
I don't necessarily mean -THIS IS EXACTLY HOW IT WAS BUILT-, but the mechanical principles and such behind it.
Because I totally want to build myself a pair of giant arms.
