What i find odd about veterinary practice, at least in my area, is the seemingly lack of specialization that human medicine has. Its different when you-re in a farm situation when you need to consult with an equine or bovine specialist, but in a domestic/ urban situation, are we to expect that all vets can handle cats, dogs, birds, rodents, reptiles, amphibians with the same level of expertise? I would have wanted the Doctor to teach us how to select a vet based on our animals- needs, or at least tell us the question we need to ask our vet. For me, the conversation always boils down to -i observed a difference on my animal-s behavior- and - i don-t know what is wrong with my animal-.

I warrant based on personal experience that keeping pets, any pets, that are not other wise personal assist, is cruelty to animals. After my experience as a cable guy for a now defunct company, everyday, this is no exaggeration, everyday in my encounters with cable customers I had to encounter pets, mostly dogs and cats. Mostly these animal were neglected, over fed, keep restrained or caged most of the time and abused. On more than a few occasions, people keeping a multitude of cats. So, based on my experience, keeping pets is cruelty to animals.

Weren't dogs supposed to be carnivors? Why are humans making them omnivors by making them eat vegetables and fruits and whatnot? Why do dogs need to have their teeth brushed? Do wolves brush their teeth in the wild? Do they need pills in the wild too? Please stop making dogs sissy animals, and animals are supposed to be in the nature not inside homes, someday someone will start having elephants as pets by the looks of it. Humans really need to control over everything

One of the hardest things about having a pet for me is finding a veterinarian. Every time this cool vet said something like -consult your vet-, I literally sighed. Idk if it's just me or idk if it's about where I live but I can't trust the vets and I have somewhat reasonable reasons. Beyond those reasons, I have instincts or maybe I see how my baby reacts and interpret it as my instinct, I'm not sure. I'm just curious if it's a common issue -

As far as the cancer question goes for dogs here's a little known fact. Kibble does not have to tell you how much starch is in it there is no law making them tell you so they don't. All kibble has between 40 and 60% starch. Meaning half of your dog's diet is bread. If you're feeding your dog kibble you are the one giving it cancer. We aren't designed to eat bread for every meal and neither are they. This vet doesn't know a lot does she?

I actually went to the eye doctor today and we were talking about my cat because he had scratched my glasses which was why I was getting new ones. And she suggested decline but that she would never do it herself and I told her that it was actually cutting off the tip of the cat's finger and she gasped and was like I didn't know that I'm so sorry for suggesting it.

One of the best ways to save money is to brush your dogs teeth. I've been brushing my dogs teeth for two+ years and he's not needed to have a dental in that time, which has saved us thousands of dollars in surgery/anesthetic bills. It's also reduced the number of times he's had to be anesthetized, which is always a plus for his overall health.

I found a squirrel and of course I checked out the encyclopedia if they can be tamed, i learnt that they are part of rodent family and their families would abandon them if they picked up human scent. My sister and i let it climb a tree, we never saw it again but we knew that this meant that it was probably accepted back. hopefully.

I'm sorry, but I will never be in favour of neutering pets, unlike it's necessary because of health issues. Imagine you're abducted by an alien smarter than mankind, that decides to cut off your testicles/ovaries just because you're too chatty and active. After that he tells you you're a good boy and how much he loves you.

Do people still think Joe Rogan took horse dewormer? Lol
A Nobel Prize was given to the 2 scientists that discovered Ivermectin, has been given out over a billion doses and has been around for 40 years. It's extremely safe. Whether or not it does anything for anything besides worms is a whole other issue.
