Oh woow loll I remember watching his interview with eckhart tolle and it kinda came off like he was really skeptical. And now seeing him do a talk on meditation and basically doing a complete 180 is amazing, good on him! I would also like to add that mediation can be done anywhere actually by just being aware of your natural state which just is. If you feel sad or angry now, observe it without judgement and ask yourself who is the one who feels this way. Because ultimately the person you think you are doesn't exist and that is the ultimate realization.

Meditation has been incredibly empowering for me and it really does mean a world of difference between wisely responding and blindly reacting. I am a much less stressed and less angry individual and it has even made certain lifestyle changes much more manageable and endurable. I've been utilizing meditation with my students. We start off class with a 3 to 5 min meditation and ive noticed increased focus, better cognitive and critical thinking and less class disruption and distraction.
