Penguins of Madagascar- & Animated Spin-offs that Rock - Angry Nerd

Animated sequels are nothing compared to their spin-offs. Why watch -Madagascar 4- when the new -Penguins of Madagascar- looks infinitely better and it isn-t bound to the original template? Angry Nerd explains why he-ll take animated spin-offs like -Puss in Boots- to another -Shrek- any day

I think it's a great idea to put strong supporting characters in the spotlight for a feature film. It gives creators a chance to branch out from the original storyline and give those characters a new role. It can also make viewers have greater appreciation for the character(s, which then motivates companies to make more terrible sequels to the originals. In fact, if film makers would spend less time making crappy sequels, then we would have more of the stand-alone movies we love. Unfortunately, (in most cases) kids are more likely to drag their parents to go watch 'Cars 2' than a unfamiliar title. [Not saying 'Cars 2' was bad, and not saying it was great]

so wait if we do a movie that is about Jar Jar Binks it may fix the Prequels. No really it'd be funny watching the original trilogy nerds get upset and butthurt. I'd die of laughter as they go home saying -Mommy they ruined star wars for me because it had Jar Jar in it and it had better effects and fights than the originals ever made, but I won't admit it because I'm too stubborn to admit the originals weren't that great. I must treat them like they're the best. - Hahaha #PrequelsRock

I only ever saw Shrek 1 and 2 because I heard the others were terrible but I love the first two regardless. Madagascar was an amazing stand alone movie which the sequels ruined but the penguins are the only real gold that kept it together.
Ice Age is kinda like a tv show at this point story wise but the first film will always be the best.
After Finding Dory I want to see a film based off of Bruce and his Gang. only pulp fiction style x)

Speaking of CGI spin-offs. Pictures of a CGI Boba Fett have been showing up all over the internet. None of the images have been given any expiation, besides the word Boba Fett. Is this perhaps how the famous bounty hunter will appear in Rebels? Or will is it how he will appear in his spin off film, making the Boba Fett spin-off in full CGI? Just a theory.

Oh one last thing. after Ice Age 2, everything went downhill. I never even saw the last one. And a Scrat movie, though cute, I think you would find it to be way too loud and obnoxious in the end. Also, speaking of the side character movie premise, does the world REALLY need an Olaf movie? Cuz we'll certainly get one eventually. Just you wait.

Agreed. A scratt movie would be amazing! and they needed to make one for him after the second installment. The fourth shrek movie was good, and not in its defense, but if not for three, four would have been so much better. And as for a side character i want to see get a movie of their own, would have to be minion (megamind)

Just to be clear about DreamWorks studios. I am in the animation field and after speaking to friends who applied for interviews. they said that DreamWorks marketing department isn't all that great. Even the interviewers said that part of their department sucks, no joke. Can you imagine what else is going bad for them?

Scratt movie for Ice Age would be awesome, but still I'd rather see a movie dedicated to Buck, or at least a Buck and Scratt duo film. Also, For my pick I want Frozone from the incredibles to do his own film although I am absolutely overjoyed and cannot wait for the Incredibles 2

I don't wanna see an animated spin off.
With Disney coming out with live-action renditions of their old animated classics; Maleficent and Pan.
It makes me want a live-action rendition of how Merlin became the powerful wizard he was in the Sword and the Stone.

Sorry, no idea why a -u- found its way into that post, I use full words and didn't mean to imply anything. I blame apples spell check. Also, it wouldn't let me edit. which is irritating. Oh well: ) anyhow, I think you got my point I hope. Short of it, we agree.
