i do think she did a great job explaining what is true and not - the fan of greys anatomy in me wants to defend lol mer is a doctor and understands what brain dead is but this is derek her husband therefore she is grieving and not thinking clearly but we also find out that the doctors didn-t do everything that they could which led to him being brain dead - also the clip of the good doctor the reason for everyone stopping and seeming amazed by what shaun had performed is because he is autistic and the group of doctors judged him before seeing what he is capable of

While I agree that a lot of medical movies do a poor job of showing proper chest compressions/showing them at all when necessary, gotta remember that there's an actual actor down there, very much alive and healthy. Doubt theyd be able to lay still if they got real CPR done on them, especially considering real compressions often break ribs

20: 20 Seriously Wired? The text on the screen itself said -O2 Saturation- she could've [erhaps clarified that O2 means oxygen but instead she just said -That middle line is the patient's sat. - You keep posting videos of -experts- who are worse at explaining things than the shows they're reviewing -

I did a self extabation once. They told me I shouldn-t have done it because there is a balloon and the bottom to keep it in, but I pulled that succor right out and demanded water only to be sedated and have it put back in. My husband was pissed at me, but I was so out of it and I really wanted water.

Very entertaining. She is informative and hilarious. I don't know if her commentary on the surgery on MASH would be any different, but for a point of clarity the show aired during the Vietnam War, but the story takes place during the Korean War.

I think you're misinterpreting the Meredith Grey scene. She is deliberately saying all those things b/c the other doctor misdiagnosed her husband. So she is listing off all the unnecessary things that were done to him by this doctor. Context.

I am a R. N. with ICU/CCU experience. Whenever I watch one of these shows, generally there is always something I say, -What on earth? That would never happen. - Or, she/he should have been fired on the spot!

Im sorry, 6h is an obscenely long time to have someone on bypass? Has this resident never heard of pediatric cardiology? I have personally been under bypass for at least 12h of my life over 2 surgeries.

Re Carlisle: He wasn't diagnosing her with PTSD. That is a disorder. He just said she -might experience some post-traumatic stress- i. e might be stressed after the traumatic event. -

Another observation about the wussy CPR chest compressions. The patient is lying on a soft springy mattress, making any chest compressions totally useless.
