I-ve seldom heard so many misstatements and childish hyperbole. The entire point of being human is lost on tech cheerleaders.
-Population is growing. We can-t create enough food without AI-
Wrong, the western countries are SHRINKING in population and nearly all forecasts call for global population decline within a few years.
-Technology has always made our lives better! - Uh-huh, like nuclear technology and thousands upon thousands of hydrogen bombs!
The unfortunate fact is that man is being led to an existential crisis for a simple lack of inward search, inward concern. The great sages have pointed this out for centuries. We adulate their words, but not really. We just don-t care. We want MORE for ME and MINE. No commentary on this angle. Hello, any human hearts, any human intelligence out there?

Another (of many) fascinating glimpses of what's going on and already here.
One thing that continues to stand out for me though is that this is all 'by the developed western world FOR the developed western world'. half of the world is still without water or any power, liberty. using cobbled together old petrol engines to run a little boat or generator.
I don't for one minute doubt that all the good (and the bad) will continue to evolve as this video shows us. But I do not see the lives of my friends in rural Kenya or Guatemala reflected in anything here when 'we' present this new world 'to our own kind'.
I wish I even knew what the QUESTIONS were that still so concern me about that aspect.

After all, AI is just a tool, like a caveman discovered the use of fire. You can use it for cooking or lighting or you could catch fire and get burned. Same goes to how we use AI. If we blindly use it on everything just for the sake of using it, it would only mess things up. So the question in preparing ourselves to live with AI is, -Why do we need AI as a tool to solve this particular problem that no alternatives are better? - Or in other words, -Are we even solving the right problems? -.

Sarif was right about one thing. It's in our nature to want to rise above our limits. Think about it. We were cold, so we harnessed fire. We were weak, so we invented tools. Every time we met an obstacle, we used creativity and ingenuity to overcome it. The cycle is inevitable.

Ai can NEVER achieve Life (Consciousness) on it's own or even with our help, but it WILL.
-Revelation 13: 15- And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed-

So many of the optimistic predictions to do with AI are entirely based on us transcending capitalism.
Basically any future worth living in is fundamentally incompatible with AI-enabled power-asymmetry. and the entire purpose of capitalism is power-asymmetry.

Major degree that has potential anything related to science. Ai. It. Medicine. Engineering. And law. Others is minor degree i suppose. I should have take it instead of business finance. I love to make monet but i also love technology. -

Humans like always will progress forward. So will be the case with technology. The real problem that we will face will not be technological but social problems created because of the division that these technologies will create.

Is very easy to living in collaboration with others and nature as human beings.
But a clique of mad people want humans to become subhumans.
Don't believe to the wolf. You have a soul.

It-s good if it can detect animals! like a deer smashing into the car! But other than that it-s designed for lazy people! You-re already sitting in a car. but don-t want to control it?
