Oh gosh. This man is a legend to me. As I was a kid around 12, I discovered origami through a book of him at a library. I urged my mom to order me some more of his books and this grew in me an interest in Japan. 8 years later, I'm working in Tokyo, doing origamis with my coworker during my lunchbreak. Full circle.

You are simply awesome! I really love your intelligence! I would say that i am between a level 5 and 6 in my knowlege! I never made cigada but made spider wich was hard because of the 8 legs, i never acheive a realism level as you have reach with the cicada! Thank you for sharing your expertise in this passion!

Level 99:
As you can see here, folding the electrons, protons and neutrons of the Cicada was relatively simple. But collapse folding them into the appropriate Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Iron, Magnesium. And Copper Atoms is a bit tricky

level 1. 000: so now your origami have so paper DNA at an atomic scale and you'll have small ball point as an atom and in that atom you'll have to make a proton and a neutron and open the proton to make up quark and down quark for max details

Level -? : The Cicada god has descended and given me the blessing to fold myself into a cicada along with other people if they so wish for the glory.

Level 20: here we'll need a one atom thick conductive coating for the paper, EUVL to engrave the topology and a SEM to make some of the folds.

I mean, yeah, I get that he's a physicist and all. But all he does is fold paper for a living. Isn't that what we call a bum?

Level 1: ok time for an upgrade.
Level 2: ok that's too much, go back
Level 3: I SAID GO BACK
Level 4: no no no NO

I like how the more complex it became, the more it just became topology and the process of unwrapping a 3D model.
