The world health what? the one that sides with China and with their own words failed to see it as a pandemic and covered it up? The one where millions of ppl died of what could have been prevented. If the out come of total infected today is a million ppl vs if the WH whatever failed announcing it quicker maybe 700, 000 that is 30% least infected then the current time line. If course there are worse possible time line. What I am trying to say is WHO is not a function BODY, its corrupted and should cease function asap. It doesn't even produce vaccine, what does it even do?

A movie about a virus pandemic is made public 9 years before a real life virus pandemic outbreak, that resembles the movie up to 98% and nobody thinks it-s necessary to demand an investigation into how the producers got the idea and script for the movie? Wonderful USA! This is the part I like about my country. Every last one of that contagion script writers and movie producers will have a lot of questions to answer! Are we supposed to just accept that contagion was a coincidence? You know, I think the world masses is more gullible than they actually think they are!

If they had any sort of dangerous unknown pathogen, I don't know why they don't stick all the brainiac doctors in a compound somewhere environmentally isolated. They all seem to literally 'go' to the danger. That person who tested her creation on herself, in itself does not prove anything. It is not like ok we can mass produce it now. It just shows that maybe it is effective and then would need more human testing and dosage testing.

It's still unknown where the virus started and the theme of the pharmaceutical companies in bed with the WHO/CDC to profit on the development of the vaccine. Wouldn't surprise me that was manufactured (quite coincidental that the vaccine was discovered in record time. Also, why not talk about the ethics of certain high officials getting the vaccine prior to the public?

Just watched this movie over the weekend. I was shocked by the parallels to real life I saw in it. The movie was right about the panic-buying, the mask wearing, the time and effort taken to make a vaccine, the anti-vaxers conspiracy theorists, and the closing scene showing the bats as the potential origin of the virus.

Thanks for explanation I had no idea it was more on the kinda accurate side.
A couple of suggestions: no mention of the WHO nor social distancing with Matt Damons character daughter. I found it very interesting on how -like now- people want to break social bubbles risking exposure

She was right about the ppe. but in the movie they sort of delved into that when they -ran out- of body bags and that they were going to ask canada for more, but canada wont give the us any because they want to wait and see if they need them.

The amount of research that went into this movie was beyond insane. Rewatched this movie a few days back and I was genuinely taken back by how realistically the spread of the virus and the aftermath was portrayed in the movie.

The part in the movie where a segment of the population refuse to even admit there is a pandemic was left on the cutting room floor. Producers thought that was just a little too ridiculous even for a Hollywood movie.
