seems like a passing of the leadership torch in the alliance both genn and tyrande/malfurion saying to tess and shandris this is your time to lead added to that kalec stepping back from the neutral council of six plus all the other leadership changes in the horde over the last 2 xpacs with well established charicters being killed off or exiled or otherwise it really seems like blizz are trying to push forward to a new era of wow new leaders bring new approaches and new stories. im down for it seems weird that the only race leader still in power from wow's launch though is gelbin mekkatorque with thrall dipping in an out of being a horde leader cairne and voljin being killed off and sylvanas exiled to the maw Varian being killed with bolvar becoming lich king the dwarfs getting a council of 3 hammers after magni turned diamond and tyrande and malfurian seemingly passing the torch here. its all gelbin mekkatorque now

Not many characters that have been around since the opening of the Dark Portal in WC1 that are still alive and kicking to the current expansion, and I believe Genn is the only one in a leadership position that has survived to this point. He might also be the first to retire from a position of authority with some grace as well.
Considering he's been through the first three wars from the RTS games, and all of the WoW expansions I imagine Genn is basically ancient at this point and old age hasn't claimed him due to the worgen curse.

I want to love these cinematics, I really do. They are awesome. But I can't. I highlights a lot of things I disliked about recent WoW. Malfurion, one of the most powerful characters in the lore is just a non-entity. He had nothing to do with anything for such a long time, his death and now resurrection seems really pointless. The stalvart, strong but admittedly bullheaded and stubborn Genn Greymane becoming a Han Solo-like depressed old man who was a terrible father who was just afraid, neglectful is just shameful.

Yay, more cringe characters talking about their fcking feelings.
And did they like age down Genn like 20 years Remember when he had actual lines in his face
Does Genn need to look 20 years younger for his words to carry weight I know the whole theme of this expansion has been "Fck the old, the youngsters are wiser and more capable than they ever were. " But damn does this feel like they should just write another book and stop writing this YA fanfiction for the game.

As much gripe as I had with the writers writing the ending for the raid, these ones were amazing and beautiful, well maybe not so much the first one as once again we got the "BUT I AM WORKING FOR AN EVEN BIGGER EVIL" villain escape.
Still, as much as the writers don't know how to write or finish an overarching big story, the stories between characters, interactions and smaller things inbetween are done beautifully.

8: 17 Why would he think ill of that Aren't members of the Council of Six allowed to resign
9: 10 How's that strange I would kind of expect to see mages work hand in hand with the Aspect of magic.
10: 42 How many black dragons that didn't went insane were left on Azeroth I got the feelling without Sabellian and his brood, Wrathion would have been the Aspect of a non-existant flight.

A new age has begun. This new age will require new heroes to rise and defend Azeroth, her lands an d her people. Her old heroes must step aside.
You must rise to claim your place in this new age while I must step aside. I am a relic of an older time but you. YOU are what this new age needs.
If the drums of war sound again. Know that I will come back and help you defend our world.

Im so fcking tired of watching Tyrande, like can we stop it already she is useless, a puppet who does nothing. She and Malfurion has proven since Legion that they are useless. And When Illidan send them a letter of apology and good byes after saving Azeroth they answered with "a Meh, we have other things to do". Just stop it. I prefer watching Turalyon and Veressa. than these two.

Couldn't stop rolling my eyes throughout these. All this sappy characterless dialogue, and new age woke political insinuation inserted every damn chance they get is tiring to watch. Here's hoping Metzen still knows how to write a good story, because whoever was responsible for all of this fluffy crap sure doesn't know how to write warcraft.

I wish Blizzard would stop trying to force all those happy ends. The Fact Ysera returned already invalidated one of the most tragic deaths implemented back in Legion. Now Malfurion did something right for once by staying in the dream and even this was too tragic for the WoW "Storywriters" so they had to bring him back as well. Eugh

So BFA is just wiped away. The fact that Horde took over Kalimdor and the Alliance took Eastern Kingdoms. Ashenvale is just given back by the Horde Fought over since Vanilla, escalated greatly in Cataclysm, completely taken over in BFA. Blizzards inability to keep any sort of geopolitical canon to their writings sucks ass.

They really took out the "War" in Warcraft didn't they. All the action and suspense is gone for these soft moments. These soft aspects of the story are only good if its balanced with hard moments, and we are barely getting any. I'm really only interested in the lore at this point, I've lost all care for the story.

"Malfurion plants seeds" hahaha
Poor Shandris. She believes that she has been chosen as the de facto leader of the Night Elves, when in reality Tyrande and Malfurion are going to plant "little trees" together among the trees and they need a secretary to organize everything while they are among "the leaves" hahahaha

reply

I never tought retail can sink deeper and now it did.
They should rename the game to pussycraft, because its not "Warcraft" anymore. That is what you get after the bliz scandal, a bunch of blue haired whiny girls to fill the womans quota in the Dev team.
Enjoy!

Genn, Tyrande and Malfurion stepping down to give their children the spotlight in a sweet heartwarming cinematic, meanwhile in the back of my mind: YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS TESS AND SHANDRIS GONNA GET UNIQUE MODELS NOW!
reply

The writing is so much better than before! I'm so proud of the writers now doing justice and making compelling stories instead of one shot villain's who are relevant for one expansion and forgotten afterwards
reply

Tyrande behaves like a little girl for a couple of expansions. Damn it, she's 10 000 years old, in WC3 you could feel the respect and strength she had. Now she just screams, hugs and bursts with emotions.
reply

Im a big strong Horde player through and through but as someone who recently lost their parents, seeing Shandris all puppy eyed wanting a hug from hers broke me for a split second and i clapped
reply

Everything is getting better after Shadowlands
There is peace in the world
Glineas is restored
Dragons united
Tyrande united with Malfurion
No more war between Horde and Alliance
