So Dalaran, which the lore repeatedly tells us is filled with the most powerful and dangerous artefacts in the world and is led by the Council of 6, including Khadgar, one of the most powerful mages in history, is simply overrun. We are talking about the same Dalaran that was able to break the sealing of the Tomb of Sargeras. A few flying Nerubians were able to overcome the defence just like that. Let me remind you what it took to steal the spellbook of Medivh or the Eye from Dalaran.
I'm surprised that everything is suddenly so weak and insignificant. Khadgar could also have been an NPC from Westfal. The Void is powerful, no question, and perhaps even more powerful than the magic of Dalaran, but such a cheap’ fight, I don't know.

I'm hoping he's either being held by Xalatath or below.
This reminds me of when we initially thought Tirion Fordring died in a lava pool at the beginning of Legion. Paladin players found out he was still alive but being held. True he did die soon after but we saw his actual death. Blizzard has no problems showing the death scenes of major characters when they want us to know without a doubt that person is dead such as Varian, Vol'jin, Sourfang or the Lich King.

The in-game cinematic is really nice and I like these a lot, but for the love of Azeroth, it just doesn't make any sense. Where are the elite archmages, no guards, the city of Dalaran looks so vacant. And why is Khadgar so. pathetic He does little to nothing, where is this legendary archmage, where is the mighty wizard, student of Medivh I was expecting some brilliant scheme carefully planned by the Kirin Tor council. Is this, how Khadgar meets his end

Dalaran explosion shocked me. We have had this city for 16 years. I was so accustomed to him that I was only angry with the thought that he could be the capital for another expansion. 10 minutes later I saw the explosion and at the first moment I could not believe it. It's like twin towers fall in front of my eyes. I see and don't believe my eyes because I am always used to being there as a given that will never change.

Athiesh - great staff of the gaurdian. Almost infinite arcane energy. When 404 not found used it, he was able to beat an old god empowered Cho Gal in one shot. It is a specail artifiact all the way from warcrafts roots.
If that wasnt enough theres the nerubians. The last we saw they were being killed by old god minions after they stopped worshipping them but noe they r suddenly worshipping a void entity again

And besides. what was the point of Xal saying she'll put the power of the city to better use if she's just going to destroy it
No, I think it's pretty clear that she just sucked the center of the city into the void rather than destroying it.

im done. everytime they do a new expansion they do this, kill a alliance and mess up a hordie. They also continue to make anduin a damsel in distress. SAme ass thing over and over, lets not forget, they like to destroy areas. Anduin if he isnt killed off, when saved ( again) will have turned to shadow rather than light, he will cause war with the light that sits on stormwinds throne

Killing main characters is fine, but it just doesn’t make sense how one of the strongest mages who has teleported entire parties out of multiple life and death situations somehow forgot how. Especially when he should be strongest in his magic city. Can’t he at least lose a plausible epic battle, not just get one shot.

I mean, the way he died, it's like if they said yeah f off the lore, a guardian, ez kill. Like a Guardian capable of facing a titan (sargeras, disenchant by some random new character, We first saw her in bfa. How simple random guys with some ugly transmog are going to lorewise kill her Hahaha.

I felt like I was punched in the stomach when I saw this in game. But so far, it has been amazing story. The quests are fun to do and everything is tying up nicely. I hope Kat gar didn't go out like this. There are a couple of options he's either in the void. Are you teleported somewhere out

The thing is, if you don't see the death happen on screen, it probably didn't happen. With all big characters, we see their death clearly happen with no room for speculation. We didn't see Khadgar die. It is safe to assume he isn't actually dead. It's basically the reverse of Chekhovs gun.

Nope. No one will convince me that's the real Khadgar and not one of 40 mirror images he places throughout Azeroth while working from home. He could have ported them both out, as he does with groups before, but why bother if he's only a mirror As he said, it's not the real fight.

I feel like if Khadgar was a player mage he couldve just cast mirror image behind xalatath to steal the relic from her or ice block during Dalarans disenchant and fall all the way down as a lil icicle turd: / but I guess he doesn’t have either spells learned

They left his fate just ambiguous enough to leave room for his survival. Perhaps saved by Medivh, he DID tell us that he would return to Azeroth one day, when the REAL final battle begins.
