Really disliked this ending. Sargeras just-POOF-appears out of nowhere, like, -Hey guys! I've been right here, clinging to your planet this whole time. Did you like my cloud disguise? - I just finished the Argus quests and Antorus raid, and to my knowledge, it's not mentioned a single time that Sargeras is coming to Azeroth, much less actually made it there. In fact, you spend the entire time on Argus thinking that Sargeras wasn't even on Argus either, because-oh, I don't know-he didn't have a body; you know, like the entire point of the expansion was to get him back a body. He doesn't even have a body during Antorus when there are cut scenes talking to his commanders. Really sloppy story, but it was really well animated. Kudos for that.

Many people may not realize that Azeroth is the last Titan, and her power grows significantly when awakened. She holds within her many imprisoned Old Gods and -wields- a corrupted sword likely owned by the Void Lords. Once she awakens, she could become a threat to everything, including the Pantheon. It's evident that the Void Lords had a well-defined plan involving Sargeras. He was essentially a pawn in their long-term strategy.

Did you guys notice at 1: 58 that Azeroth spins from East to West (right to left) opposite of what Earth spins Left to Right. And When Sargeras impales Azeroth it is at 2: 00 of the Planet yet the sword if in Silithus the southern part of the Planet. That means that Silithus and Tanaris desert is at the Equator of Azeroth? Also that part was foggy in the video.

It really bothers me how much smaller the sword is once it's stuck in the planet. I mean, it'd be impossible to load, but that thing was the size of a continent when Sargeras was holding it. The devastation from an impact of that magnitude. should've been a mass extinction event. Deathwing's little tantrum would've been nothing in comparison.
Ah well.

In my opinion Legion had the best story of all the wow expansion, so many badass scenes from this to Illidan eye beaming Naru, so cool. I really hope they continue this story, I want to hear the conversation between Illidan and Sargeras. I would even be okay if they just said let's pretend BFA and SL didn't happen, and they continue this story.

I feel like Blizzard saw the reception to Illidan's redemption in Legion and thought they could pull the same shit with Sylvannus in Shadowlands. Except they did not account for the sheer amount of shit Sylvannus did for the sake of cruelty or evil, wher Illadin ALWAYS had the goal of defeating the legion in mind, even at his worst.

Calling it now, the light crystal in the new Hallowfal zone is the tip of Sargeras' sword. The way the tip of the sword lights up as he stabs it into Azeroth matches. And from what they've shown of the crystal, the rocks around it are all cracked and shattered, it doesn't look like it's formed naturally at all.

Velen-s massive sight of relief, knowing the one force that-s been hunting his people and his way of life for hundreds of thousands of years is finally vanquished, closing his eyes to reflect on the past and the road that led them to that moment, that was poetic closure. Still gives me the chills.

I'm so sad right now. My man tried to stop it. BfA. Shadowlands. Arclight Rumble. He was so close. Inches from greatness. We were the bad guys all along. Stay strong, Sargeras. Perhaps one day you're going to be bailed out by some mysterious force that apparently was there all along. You never know!

The cinematic is very atmospheric and I love it, but let's face it: if a planed of this size is stabbed by a sword of this size, everyone on that planet is dead. For reference, the Earth is rotating at some 1670 km per hour. Imagine going from that to full stop when the world is impaled.

Did we ever get some kind of closure with Malfurion and Tyrande after this? like their reacts to what Illidan did in the end? Did they eat their words/actions and acknowledge that Illidan was the not the enemy they claimed him to be or did we just kinda ignore all that? I don't remember

Remember when that games was good? There clip was allready past beyond that time and even there it was the department that made those clip that brought the players in. because it was the only thing left with a little bit of heart left in it and not only dollarsigns in the eyes.

my theory is that sargeras wanted to kill azeroth because worldsouls are easily corrupted by the void lords (old gods masters) and in the new 3 wow expansion we will see how azeroth borns as a titan learning in the path that titans are not all good

I love how right before Sargeras gets imprisoned, he tries one last time to catch us. Us, who has foiled every plan he had, and every attempt to take Azeroth. he tries one last desperate attempt to take us down. Its over. 2: 21

Kinda makes you wonder. Sargeras was right to purge the world of the old gods because in almost every expansion there is an old god hiding somewhere. he just had a different way of going about it to get rid of them all

He is there when we people expect him least. But his heart was always there. Despite his blindness he saw through peoples intentions and thus what made him a true noble hero. Always will love Illidan.

Why they thought us wielding weapons and armor that were essentially legends in the WoW universe to combat the ultimate evil to now fighting an angry ulduar mount and a dragon with daddy issues is beyond me

Velen-s sigh is my favorite part.
After thousands of years of running, hiding, and running again.
He can finally relax, knowing that the monsters who hunted his people down are no more.

Does anyone else feel like Argus was probably originally intended to be an expansion but they scrapped it and brought it forward as the finale for Legion?

I love this fanmade cinematic. Would be nice if they did something like this, but they probably wouldn't know what to do with it afterwards.

What do you think Illidan does in there? Crack jokes with Sargeras to pass the time? One of them has to come out eventually.

The quality of the CGI and the art team's ability to create perspective of scale in the Blizzcon 2023 cinematic was INSANE.
