Now we know the voice was more than likely Mueh'zala, THE Loa of Death (there are multiple Loa of Death, like all German Shepards are dogs but not all dogs are German Shepards, and probably in allegiance with The Jailor in the Shadowlands.
Must admit that I'm not a fan of this writing.
The subversion of expectation and oooh later revealed plot twists (that are more plot developments because nothing was given to us in the first place. Generally, when you begin a plot knowing you want to surprise the audience with a twist. You overzealously and subconsciously begin removing any precedent for it.
For example, let's say you've written a character who you want to betray their friends because of the outcome of an event earlier in your story that the character was displeased with. In your original manuscripts or drafts, you note that the character was displeased with their friends in the first chapter/book. Foreshadowing. As the sole writer with full creative control, you believe that the precedent for the betrayal was too obvious to the audience and decide to remove it. So now your character goes from being displeased to being very happy with the events right up until the point of betrayal.
THAT is where it becomes incoherent and creates a disconnect. In your desire to have this grand reveal or twist, you've deprived your audience of crucial information/developments that would lead to it.
And I use that example because of Sylvanas. That writing 101 cardinal sin is exactly what has happened to her character. She is evil, Blizzard tells us she is 'morally grey, ' yet there is NOTHING the audience has been given that could possibly suggest a motive, a moral conflict when she acts, being forced to do something she doesn't particularly want to. Nothing. As a result, Blizzard now has to make a decision on whether Sylvanas will receive the biggest deus ex machina that redeems her but is only revealed IN Shadowlands OR to divert from the original plan for the plot and make her evil.
The difference between say Illidan and Sylvanas is that Illidan never truly served The Burning Legion. In The Burning Crusade he was in direct opposition to them. There was ALWAYS a precedent for this surface-level bad guy to align himself back with the good guys. Sylvanas will not be getting the same writing quality in that regard.
What sucks even more is that Sylvanas is the last of the original four leaders within the Horde, and another that has been discarded to further progress the continuing plot of Warcraft. It says an awful lot when Lor'themar is the oldest leader remaining and was introduced in TBC, and Vol'jin was immediately discarded for the sake of plot progression within one expansion. If I was to write FOR WoW, and I had all these grand plans for Sylvanas- Vol'jin would never have been made Warchief knowing that he would be an obstacle that would have to be removed moments after.

-Tell them only that the Lich King is dead, and that Bolvar Fordragon died with him. Now go! Leave this place, and never return! -
Then you return with Baine and Talanji. So much for that.
Oh, and so much for Tirion having his own destiny to fulfill. Disappears from game and story until Legion prepatch, gets wrecked by Gul'dan, dies early into Paladin order hall campaign.

Baine: Sylvanas lead us to victory against the Legion but since then she strained the honor that binds the Horde together.
So what would you call the new plague she was creating in Stormheim? What would you call the pact she made with Helya? Those were honorable and brought honor to the Horde?

I knew this was reminding me of something XD THe way they go around asking everyone -Did YOU tell me to name Sylvanas warchief? - is comically reminding to the way Son Goku asks everyone -Did you blow up South Galaxy? - in DBZ Abridged Broly Movie. Kinda hilarious XD

I really held off on watching this video until i completed the storyline in game, because your thumb nail lead me to believe that there was a cinematic at the end. Please change your thumb nail. The whole quest line was somewhat anti climactic for me, now.

Now it makes all sense, some evil thing from the shadowlands whisperd in Voljins ear, to make Sylvanas warchief, because the evil thing, maybe Jailor, saw the future of Sylvanas and knew she would open the gates to shadowlands

-Wakanda, foreve. err, I mean, Zandalar forever! - I remember there was a time when Blizzard didn-t copy narratives but actually tried to create original storylines that pulled on time-honored, human condition based themes.

I was so pissed that Vol'jin got taken out so quickly after being named Warchief. However, it looks like he might be back for round 2 in Shadowlands and more powerful than ever.

Many will not understand this. because a dying Troll thinking he hears a whispering voice is a lame excuse to appoint a Genocidal Crazy Woman head of the Horde

Vol'jin should of been painted towards a Thrall or Malfurion type character/ a mini medivh. Taking away this color from the art made it bland

Every society needs an enemy. If he didn't name her war chief then their would be peace and they would have to rename the game to peace craft.

Vol-jin doesn-t actually meet Bwonsamdi in afterlife. I think Vol-jin is unable to enter the Necropolis. I like going to ICC with him

The voices told Vol'jin to name Sylvanas as warchief because they knew Sylvanas would go crazy and force Thrall to return.
