I think a lot of people are confusing the fact that the undead are immune to the whispers. If they can be swayed under the influence of the Lich King, they can be swayed by old gods. Not to mention, Sylvanas fell on saronite spikes.

I have the feeling that N'zoth told Vol'jin that Sylvanas must be the warchief. Why? To weaken the Horde AND bring the alliance into Doom AND disaster so the old god can rise again.

How does no one know who she is lol? She is a old god that was locked into Xal'atath by the other gods black when the black empire was strong. Noble has a bit on her.
