The ONLY thing that they changed about the Hellscream + Thrall vs Mannoroth cinematic was some of Thrall's roars / grunts (most notably his scream at the end) which, IMO, sound way worse and less emotional than the originals (a difference I could detect instantly because of how many times I watched the original when I was younger.
If that isn't Warcraft 3: Reforged in a nutshell, I don't know what is.

remaster: the exact old game scaled to modern resolutions + some extras like soundtrack or background stuff. example CnC
remake: basic story stays, modern graphics, modern sounds, extra story. example FF7

Mannoroth was scarier in the original. The portrait full of teeth with hairs terrorized me as a kid. Now he looks like some fat tax collector.
Tichondrius too. I was amazed how he looked different and looked straight from the screen as a dreadlord. Now he looks just like a satyr.

Damn, this game is still so old, yet remains as one of my favorites of all time. These cut scenes where among the greatest! It still makes me sad that amazing characters such as Cairne die by other future characters in the game. This will always be GOAT!

It's just a remaster; a graphical upgrade. If they had been honest about it and simply said that instead of calling it a remake with new cutscenes and cinematics (which they somehow still are marketing it as) they would have avoided all this backlash.
