The dark lady was a High Elf not a Night Elf, therefore her sister should also be so. Both the Nigh Elves and the Blood Elves are descendents of the high Elves, though there were still High elves in the game back then.
I can see why they had the dark lady saying she became AM, as her sole purpose was to protect the forsaken, her people. As she had failed to protect the high elves when the lich attacked. I remember when I started playing WoW how many thought she was the worst and the forsaken were so evil. However objectively she was no worse or no better than the rest of the leaders. The one unique thing of the foresaken is they could not reproduce in the way all the others could. Therefore unlike the others the foresaken had no choice but to do things all the others, alliance and horde alike, found distasteful.

Meaningless expansion with a meaningless end. Arthas was and still is the reason why I played this expansion, and I am not sure what to make of this whole journey that keeps retconing things ending with -what's yet to come-. Sylvanas being cast into the Maw is another retcon that either aims for Arthas or someone's else return, because no one really dies in this game. or so we made to believe because that's what ultimately writers do. And how is that all connected to Dragonflight? Maybe better not, let's just forget all this unnecessary drama and start a new adventure.

Getting real sick and tired of this Arthas Slander where they constantly blame the victim for the crimes he didn't choose to do.
I don't want them to give him an Illidan treatment but the fact that Illidan who is OBJECTIVELY more evil, and unrepentant about it at that, gets hit with the -Draco in leather pants- treatment so gratuitously and Arthas KEEPS getting dragged every time his name is mentioned when the people involved with him in the story have EVIDENCE he didn't do any of that evil shit willingly blows my mind.

I love how they have been consistent with Tyrande Wisperwind since WC3.
She is the Leader a race that lives thousands of years needs.
Even in her judgement she is just and does not overreact. Just makes sure the wrongs are righted with Sylvanas, I would have not been that kind. Thanks Blizz for not ruining an OG character.
Not happy what they did with Uther, he was true embodiment of Lawful Good, I would have thought he would see Arthas's flaws as a reflection of his shortcomings as a teacher.

Personally, I think they ended Arthas' story well. His soul was put through so much over the years, from the moment he touched Frostmorn. And at the end of it all, his soul is simply too weak and broken to keep going and simply fades into a peaceful non-existence. Arthas' is a tragic character and got a tragic end, and it feels right. Not everyone can be saved and I feel Arthas found true peace fading away.

the ending kinda pissed me off, uther there like blah blah blah when they see the last of arthas spirit, and i am like yeah but his spirit is in tat shape because you threw him into the maw, sure arthas was a bit of a bastard in life, but i highly doubt the arbiter would have sent him to the maw, i mean look at kael'thas and garrosh.

God, the entire Shadowlands retcon, reinterpretation and damnation / redemption storyline and angles absolutely sucked. So many different lore-threads were re-written and perverted. Whoever dreamt this up when they flung their face up from the mountain of cocaine, should be not only fired, but pushed out into the ocean on a small raft.
reply

Why Blizzard did you not copy the line from WC3 for the Arthas cutscene!
Uther: I dearly hope there's a special place in hell waiting for you, Arthas.
Arthas: We may never know, Uther. I intend to live forever.
-kills him and takes his soul-
this would have added so much depth to Arthas' corrupted character.

reply

Your cut work is amazing in all of these retrospectives. As far as Arthas goes, it is true no king rules forever. But like Vision said, -a thing isn-t beautiful because it lasts. - Arthas was part of the essence of World of Warcraft. You forget him, you forget what made this franchise great.
reply

How dare Sylvanas say that Arthas will be forgotten? How dare they turn Arthas into a wisp that just fades away? Oh and turning the helm of domination into something soo bad like the crown of wills, they gave the perfect character a really terrible ending-. Always love your videos btw -

To be fair I dont know if it's my problem or this doubt commonly exist among other players but I feel like I still dont know what the Shv's plan is lol- And the Jailer is so kind that he didn't even kill one single main character in this entire expansion.
reply

Never played Shadowlands or BFA after 12 years of WoW.
Saw the story develop for the first time here.
Have to say I am not discouraged. Maybe I will rejoin yolu all in Dragonflight.

reply

Man I really wanted more Arthas in Shadowlands. I feel like the writers so much more planned for him. Maybe his presence would've taken too much away from the story. Such an epic character.
reply

I only know about this character because I saw the neca toy Arthas and he looked dope ever since I just been looking in to his lore and he's a dope character just like the action figure
reply

this expansion's entire storyline was all but increasingly dissopointing! so many wasted potnetial! Complete Waste! they could't screw this up! it could've been a bit better.
reply

NO Arthas you will not be forgotten, the jailer used you like he did everyone else and yet they blame you for everything. We will never forget you, be at peace!
reply

Salvans want arthus name to be forgotten lol did she not know that every single thing started from Warcraft 3 to shadowlands beacuse of arthus baka windruner
reply

The things arthas was made to do was never his fault his tragedy was all because of the legion and ner zhul
FYI: Ur editing skills are awsome

reply

nope you will not be forgotten, greatest of all time.
the reason of all this years playing wow.
this comeback will change the game entirely

reply

I really think that ending was just to subconsciously tell everyone to shut up about Arthas. Bad ending. The Lich King deserved better.
reply

I legit thought that was Hashirama in the thumbnail. Arthas didn-t occur to me until after I had finished watching lol
reply

They did arthus so dirty at the end for him to be such a prominent person in wow lore. Honestly blizzard, im disgusted
reply

Shadowlands did Arthas storyline dirty; ( they should never have touched upon his legacy from the Lich King expansion.
reply

Bro I still believe the joke that anduin is secretly the son of Arthas and jaina and king wrynn adopted him.
reply

Well i said it once and ill say it again. Blizzard died with Lich King! This storywritting is so bad. SO BAD!
