Meh. Second story reminds of that one dragging scene in Jackson’s King Kong where the guys are dying in a swamp for what feels like a third of the run time.
Like, okay we get it, could you kindly just put your head under the mud now if you’re not going to save yourself and are just going to linger on to agonize longer over your own torturous end Thank you.
Honestly, from her reactions before that point I thought she was going to go mad, lose track of time and get killed in her confusion by attacking an exploratory investigation that only showed up because of her distress signal. But I suppose she lacked the survival skills for that

That first guy sounds so completely wrapped up in his own ego I’m not sure I trust what he’s telling me.
And given the bit about losing a power struggle for leadership because someone else makes a single suggestion that the group listens to, with no in story part that suggests they were particularly following the narrator to begin with, I have to say he has absolutely nailed it.
Perfectly matched to the tone of the writing.

Thanks for the stories, also sometimes I like the nice slow voice, but today I played it at 1. 25x speed and it sounded way more energetic.
