Teachers Answer Anonymous Questions From Students
video description
She would seem to ask questions normally, but would incline to pick the students that are falling behind and are unsure of talking in class. Whenever a student either has trouble or gets the question wrong, she would be like TARGET ACQUIRED, start to bombard that specific student for the next week or so, then change to another student. It was actually pretty hilarious to see what classmates did, she picked a student that was always sleeping in the back of the class for a month straight, and he never slept in class again.

I understand other student engagement, but why? Dear god, why? for all that is all holy and sacred, do teachers always choose the students who completely murder Shakespeare? The ones who when reading for the class they replace every word with a completely different one. so the story makes no sense if you arent reading along.
Its not just that its painful to hear, but I know I feel embarrassed if I mess up one or two words in front of a class, we all know the torment that person feels being in high school and having everyones eyes and judgement on them

I'm a working professional well out of school. I'm not satisfied with the answer about calling on students who aren't looking to be called on. If only one or two students out of 30 are engaged in the material, it isn't on them to participate - it's on the teacher to rework their lessons to suit the dominant learning styles in the classroom. Being called on out of turn never helped me, because I found the classes i didn't raise my hands in super dull, and NOT because of the subject matter.

i know this is a bit random, but does anyone else hate it when the teacher picks on you but you don't know the answer, so you just sit there saying umm or uh but the teacher just keeps waiting for you to answer so there is just silence for like 2 minutes as if the answer is just going to pop in my head?

I used to be a art teacher. It was exorsting! If I will do teaching in the future it will be on a smaller scale then I did back then. 25 students where to many for such sensitive individual such as myself. 5 kids who loves art will be max for me. So probably for the best that I changed path.

The guy in the white shirt is right about the responsible quiet kids. It happens in the workplace too. I rarely talked at the start of my job. The 1st time I made a mistake I was pulled into my bosss office. She asked me: So, how are you? I was terrified because I wanted to know what I did wrong.

Teacher on the left: Don't make fun of kid's shoes.
Teacher on the right: You can make fun of the teachers shoes.
Left: You cant try, my shoe game is on point.
Right: I don't have a shoe game, I shop at Marshall's.
I feel like he's under paid, poor guy.

My primary school teacher always used to pick me even tho I didn't raise my hand and she would do it in EVERY SINGLE period i have her and it was so embarrassing so since then I had a lot of anxieties and panic attacks. So it basically effected my metal health a lot.

On a more serious note to the teachers out there depression and or home problems sometimes do not show up in behavior or grades but mostly in the quiet moments away from everyone else suffering but not being noticed by even the best of friends.

YES, teachers ALWAYS talk bad about students I used to walk by them and I'd always hear them making fun of or saying how annoying students were. I'd take to the vice principal and sometimes even the principal and they would just ignore it.
