I did like Captain America brave new world
The plot of Captain America movies is always surrounded by geopolitics and good human like combat scenes
I am a person who's interested in geopolitics so I liked the plot for that reason
Also, Marvel bringing back a very old character like Dr. Sterns is something what I liked
I like Sam Wilson as Captain America
Sometimes he does behave like any random guy but the moment he's into business he truly gives the vibes of Captain America
The only thing missing from the movie was a memorable dialogue for a Captain America movie
For example, in Winter Soldier Nick says Shield sees the world how it is, not how we want to see it (Sorry if the dialogue is inaccurate, I saw it in Hindi)
In Civil War, Steve says referring to UN It's run by people who have agendas and agendas change
Dialogues like these are very strong and do mean in reality
This thing was missing in brave new world

Elevation is essentially a term your using to replace spectacle: . I did not enjoy Wolverine vs Deadpool for that exact reason. The majority of people who did enjoy that movie did not transfer that enjoyment into future projects. Yall are so hyper focused on creating such a big spectacle. Yall really hope that will be the saving grace when in reality it’s been the very reason the MCU has been labeled dead for half a decade. Yall can not understand that spectacles or elevationwithout a solid storytelling and decent character development will always fail in the long run Ironically the deluded fans who cheer for any and everything marvel puts out (which doesn’t appear to be the majority but a small vocal minority) are the ones helping with the downfall of the overall quality hence the failing state of the MCU.

When you literally admit endgame is worse than infinity war but think that’s somehow an argument that doomsday can’t be worse than endgame. If the Russos are such great writers and directors then explain the electric state No artist is incapable of failure and when they’re working for the people that gave us such movies as Black Widow, Shang Chi, The Eternals, Black Panther 2, The Marvels, Brave New World, Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four why am I supposed to expect that Disney Marvel management is interested in letting the Russos do infinity war level work instead of having them give us more of brave new world. Side note Deadpool and Wolverine was a fun but terrible movie, the cameos and jokes only work once and the story is unwatchable trash, only thing worth a rewatch is the violence.

It’s also about how well the characters connect with the audience. Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, all the original Avengers, grew alongside the fans. People started to idolize them, and even with Thanos, the audience genuinely began to fear him as the story built up to Infinity War. I honestly feel that connection has faded, and the lack of strong story buildup has left people searching for a character to really cheer for or get hyped about. Thor’s entrance and Captain lifting Mjolnir were probably some of the biggest moments in cinematic history the audience went absolutely wild. I don’t think we’ll get that same kind of reaction from the newer characters introduced after Phase 4.

While I am not sure whether or not the movie will fail or not in terms of whatever the point is other than we know kind of which characters will be involved, in terms of budget v profit Marvel will have to make 2. 5x that of the budget to just break even. I will be impressed if Doomsday and Secret wars can say in 6hrs resolve the multiverse issues, timeline issues, variant issues, quantum realm issues, cross-franchise issues (such as the 'classic avengers', 'new avengers', 'x-men', 'fantastic 4', all the flops, Disney shows. besides with Endgame all movies, or virtually all showed who the villian will be. With this we know next to nothing. Any rate, let's hope you are right.

I will say this, if the Russo brothers are able to pull this off again, it will be 1000 times more impressive than what they did for Infinity War and Endgame! My main reason was back then they had the hype behind those movies going into them. The MCU run from 2016-2019 was legendary so even though if those movies came out as mediocre or subpar they could guarantee butts in seats. This time around it’s the complete opposite Marvel doesn’t have that same hype jt used to and now they have to rely on nostalgia and old actors returning. However if the Russos can come up with a compelling story with this mess of a saga it will be more legendary than what they did before!

_why do most fans rank Infinity War above_
They don’t.
_why does everyone Love Deadpool and Wolverine_
They don’t.
Objectively both of these assumptions are easily invalidated.
Leading to the question - why do you make assumptions qualified by the word fans’, which then allows you to make any claim you want
Because it allows you to create your own bubble-universe where only one group of persons opinions matter.
If you enter the universe of Snyder fans for example, you cannot get them to process any information in a world where in fact his films generally flop and most people don’t like them because they aren’t very good.

Im leaving a comment here because I feel like this might just become a huge paris syndrome which if you dont know what it is, basically foreigners who had set up such a high expectation of paris as this perfect place. that when they eventually arrived in paris the disappointment of it not actually being a utopia, led them to have physical issues such as vomiting or dizziness, now im not saying people are gonna vomit and feel dizzy after watching doomsday im sure the russo brothers will do a great job along with the writers, im simply stating that putting something up so high will lead to nothing but disappointments when we start noticing imperfections.

In order for AVENGERS DOOMSDAY to work, they’re going to have to build up the characters meeting each other for the first time properly, just like the first AVENGERS movie when they first assembled.
A lot of the time, characters that should be familiar with each other ends up being weird and awkward together like Dr. Strange and Spider-man or Thor and The Guardians of the Galaxy; they all fought together, why are they so timid and weird with each other, they should be like family and friends coming together to face a threat not act like unlikely allies.
I hope AVENGERS DOOMSDAY can make the characters work and look good together on screen.

Hey Canadian Lad! You should seriously check out the Malayalam film 'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra'.
It's an Indian superhero movie, but it's not that Marvel type or a formulaic Hollywood tentpole. Think of it more as a dark fantasy thriller, made on a budget of about 3 million USD, that skillfully incorporates regional folklore (Kerala's Yakshi/vampire mythology) into a modern superhero story.
It's been a massive critical and commercial success, and they've very clearly stated their plans to extend this as a universe The Lokah Universe. Would love to hear your 0. 25x speed analysis on how they set up their universe in Chapter 1!

I don’t doubt the ability of the Russo brothers when handling this film. What im worried about are the heroes inside this film. After endgame, most of the new heroes and films didn’t generate the hype that makes ppl look forward to another endgame-lvl movie. The show runners failed to make us like these characters, root for these characters, make us want more from these characters. What im saying is, the russo brothers may be great at creating the second floor of this building but it’s built on a weak foundation consisting of heroes that people don’t want to see in a movie as pillars.

Totally agree, I've been saying this for years, I call them Epic Moments, and you're right, Infinity War is full of them. Cap stepping out of the shadows, Wanda killing Vision, Thanos throwing Gamora off the cliff!
My only concerns around Doomsday/Secret Wars, is that they slightly botched the intro. Part of the reason these moments are so epic is because these characters developed in front of us over 10 years and we cared so much for them. I'm just not sure the current crop has been given the same treatment. Too many shows and too many characters mean their arcs have been spread too thin.

Totally disagree with this - it's partially correct, but we also skip over the fact that the Russo's did Endgame too, and it sucked. The only success the MCU has now is when they rely on nostalgia, which gets everyone into the theatres and gives them the dopamine hit mentioned in this video - the problem with a dopamine rush is it doesn't last very long. That's why we all loved SM: NWH and Deadpool and Wolverine upon first viewing, but they don't hold up when (or IF) you see them again. That's what they're relying on RDJ for in this - to provide that nostalgia rush.

8: 59 I bet even Russo Brothers can't recover MARVEL this time. Avengers Doomsday is gonna be pure fan-service with a side of weak plot. Like bruh what do you expect after 5 years of directionless shows and shit movies (Few exceptions, Suddenly Marvel’s like Kang who’ and throws Dr. Doom into the mix. And now they expect a good ending for the Multiverse Saga TheCanadianLad this vid lowkey feels like Marvel’s marketing team made it themselves. Hope the studios hit the hard reset button after Doomsday and clean up this crap.

The fact is after the endgame, new cast members are protrayed with some sort of message cause disney would like it. Also, the fact that they need RDJ back as Dr doom would destroy the impact of tony stark's death. Moreover, Marvel is being desperate here. If anything, half of the movie success would be due to gen alpha kids watching the movie with their family or friends. Gen Z will probably enter the theatre unless it's some comic book nerd.

I think, We just absolutely don't need to worry about Robert being Doom. He will be absolute good at that, no doubt. He just showed his another brilliance (as usual obviously) in the movie, OPPENHEIMER!
As a marvel fan all we need is some quality directors to made the movies good enough to enjoy.
I'm excited for RUSSO BROTHERS. They have delivered previously. Pretty sure, they'll deliver again!
Do the Come Back, Marvel!

infinity war and endgame had a good biuld up. even if doomsday becomes a good movie, who are the avengers and why are they avengers the shows after endgame didnt present me any likeable new heroes. its not just elevation the build up is important too, maybe more. deadpool&wolverine was the last i watched, the d shows i didnt watch. but its not just marvel/disney, the last years had just too many bad movies.

Well done Canadian Lad! There is wayyy too many keyboard complainers out there nowadays when it comes to these movies. Very tired of why did they cast RDJ as Doom banter. The man is at the top of the acting world right now. You go to the best mechanic to fix your Ferarri. Well, the MCU now has the best writing team, best directors, and can't fail to mention that Alan Silvestri is scoring the music as well!

The superhero genre was a gold mine and it ran dry
It might at best case, financially make a tiny profit or break even , if they manage to keep the budget under control which I doubt, but what next the franchise as whole is unsustainable. they lost the the normal movie going crowd & most of core audience for comic movies hate marvel now after a series of bad choices and film.

I totally agree Canadian Lad, the world needs more positive people like you man, I can just see it already, the most epic scene in cinema history with all the superheroes from across the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse gathering for the final battle against God Emperor Doom while a legendary musical score by Alan Silvestri plays over it, I get goosepimples just thinking about it!
