man i miss the glory days of PS1 and PS2. Final Fantasy 7-9, Gran Turismo, NBA Shootout, NFL Gameday, Crash Bandicoot, Twisted Metal, Metal Gear Solid, Xenogears, Grand Theft Auto 3, Sons of Liberty, God of War, Devil May Cry, and the list goes on.
New consoles still can't even do 60fps locked at 4k. developers are more concerned with how their games look instead of how to maximize performance by sacrificing a little visual quality. They think these consoles are going to be as powerful as PC's or some crazy shit. They need to come back down to Earth and realize these are not gaming computers, and have limitations.
Much rather see stable 60fps 4k res over graphics quality and ray tracing. Back in the day games were so good you didn't even have to worry about graphics. Now companies seem to put graphics over everything.

Back way when the PS4 was a gaming beast, I remember our parents upgrading to it after playing Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3. It was just last Christmas we got a PS5, and now Gran Turismo 7 is one of my favourite games! We love to play split screen driving cars around awesome tracks.
This is an amazing animation and your work never fails to surprise me.

Fun 'fact', the PS1 dualshock controller was also as much of a gaw dayum tank as the N64. Drop it in water by accident? Still works. Drop a heavy box TV on it by accident? Still works. The dualshock did -not- give a damn about mortal perils/dangers that it was subjected to/fell upon it and just kept on trucking. It was -thee- Nokia of controllers.

I learned so much watching this entire evolution video. I think what should really be taken away from watching the history of consoles is how beneficial competition is for us as the consumers. The fact that Nintendo and Xbox exists is the primary reason WHY we have these high-end consoles with amazing graphics

I was a PlayStation fan. After my games wouldn't work from my PS3 to the PS4 I was mad, then after the PS5 and I found out that my PS4 games won't work on the PS5, I made the switch to PC and never regretted. They won't get my money any more, should have done that a long time ago, PC is a beast for games.

Love how til this day, there are still many loyal and new fans of the psp and ps vita. Always dreamed of having my own psp when I was young. I recently got a psp 2000 and modded it, and I-m so happy with it. too bad that Sony neglected both handhelds, they were both beyond its time.

Your dates are wayyyyy off homeslice, you said the PS2 slim released in 2014 and it released in 2004 lmao. they ceased production of it in 2013. You also state that Jak and Daxter released in 2005 and it came out in 2002.
