For a long long time and it still gets to me sometimes, sort of like natural phenomena like tornados or rising floods whirlpools... they freak me out and I get this feeling like oh shit I don't want to go near that even if I know it can't hurt me. I think I really started to notice the fear when I first played Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword and you fly around on your bird and everything's great until oh no you've gotten far enough that tornados randomly appearing in the sky all around me. I don't know why but the sight of it just made me freak out and honestly get really scared.

Caves at open world games that's the scariest thing like skyrim you walk and boom you see a cave and you think mmm..... I wonder what there is in this cave and you get in to the cave you get lost maybe a enemy you don't see jump on you or you realize you at something to a lot higher level and now you just want run away and find the open.

I fear the video game void but not because of sinking or quicksand... it's like how people have a fear of the ociean. A gian unknown. Now water does not scare me, but playing fallout 4 for the first time and exploring the ociean just... well there was something WRONG about it psychologically to me, much the same as the void.

Tmw you are leaving a room and only see the wall infront of you and the hallway continuing to the left or right but arent able to see without checking then wondering if you'll be jumped from the direction you didnt choose to look. I call it a T-point Terror.

Walking around corners and you can't see anything but a dark hallway. Nope. I'm out. Omg I couldn't finish resident evil cause that old man burst through the wall while I was turning the corner. Nightmare fuel.

I don't know it's name, but there is a monster in dark souls 2 that is afraid of fire. It scared the shit out of me when I first saw it, I was so scared I ran up to it and tried to kill it as soon as possible

I think just deep water in video games in general, whether you can swim or not. Swimming in dark, deep water is arguably the worst, but being surrounded by water without the ability to swim is also bad.

My completionist/pack rat mentality makes me irrationally afraid of leaving anything behind in an RPG because, you know, I might need it later and what if I forget about it later...?
