Thanks for the link of shame ;') If the single player dies I will quit gaming. Where I live there is no game retailer well there tons of cracked games retailers due to the fact there is no copyright law in effect. It might sound like a paradise for some but trust me when I tell you it is the actual hell on Earth (if finally confirmed this hell theory after someone from Tunisia offered a donation to keep a server going) 900Kb/s down speed and 500Kb.s Up with best ping of 90 (Premium Internet) costing nearly 100$ for a monthly sub and you have to pay nearly more than 1$ per gig you down or upload. 50% of the game companies IP banned the entire country like EA, EPIC Games and many more due US sanctions rendering me personally unable to play my old favorites like BF3 and 4, FIFA and NFS 2015 and many others (This might be an excuse cuz they know they won't get any microtransaction going on here) Welcome to the kingdom of Hearts -

I'm close to Tampa FL and there used to be quite a bit of GameStop stores around the area. I don't know the exact number of locations. But, I can remember a total of about 4. And out of that 4. There's only one left I believe. And to be honest. I do not like -DDG-. A physical copy of my purchase is most enjoyable because if I'm gonna spend money on something. At least whatever I spent the money on is tangible. Anyway, keep up the solid content broski. -

I found that page inside steam,
Help->My Account->Data related to Your Steam Account->External Funds Used
and apparently I spent around $20 a month on games. For 173 months.
Let's plays definitely hurt sales. Pretty much every big single player game in the last few years I've watched instead of played. I bought Witcher 3 and Telltale's Walking Dead games but most of my play time is either small indie games or MP.

It very much depends on how you consume games in general (similar to alcohol) just because you had a wild drinking or gaming weekend does not make you addicted. But focusing everything in that one thing is a addiction and it can be a very unhealthy one. Gameing is imo fine but with as with everything: the dose makes the poison
I love Fable too btw, finished it 14 times XD

I rhink we should leave it to experts to decide if there is such thing as a -gaming desorder-, couse there are very few people who can tell if they are addicted to something or just enjoying it a lot. I love gaming and I honestly don't feel like I am addicted, but the trueth is, I don't know for sure and that's why experts need to work this out.

I think there-s two types of addictions for video games the type that you only play one game (You won-t play anything else because your so addicted) and the other type of addiction where it takes over your life giving you anxiety and potentially depression to the point where you don-t go to work/school and don-t socialise anymore.

i don't get their point at all. yes i have been addicted to Skyrim but you could ask the people who wrote that document if they have ever binge watched a Netflix series or even read a whole book in one sitting, people are just not open to change, though that may not be the treason they are concerned, i can see why they would be.

I don't want GameStop to dissolve, I live in Guam, so shipping costs are INSANE, 130 dollar shipping for a certain item. Not to mention they take like a month to arrive. I don't want to order some really awesome story-driven singleplayer game and have to wait a month, when someone already spoiled it on my Twitter feed.

do you think LeBron James would be where he is today if he wasn't addicted to basketball? is basketball the next addiction? no because unlike alcohol cigarettes and heroin, basketball and video games wont kill you.
