Could blockchain put a stop to cheating in video games?

Video game cheating and piracy seems like it can never be completely stopped. Is blockchain the solution? Let's explore SuperNova45: Why the hell are you playing Titanfall clips? If you-re just playing clips of any old online game, then cool. Case closed. But if you are indeed implying that these games have major problems with cheaters, get your facts straight. Titanfall has almost no cheaters. The only real cheats I-ve seen from both games are invisibility, an aimbot legion, and someone, for some reason, having infinite grapples. I-ve only even encountered 1, and it was very negligible. Also, Sea of Thieves? I-m pretty sure that game doesn-t even have 1000 legitimate players, let alone hackers. The point is, whether intended to shine games in this light or not, it did. And it casts a bad reputation on games that sure as hell don-t deserve it.

Gameranx, just wanted to point out that you wouldn't need to use the crypto to purchase their in game currency, since the crypto itself could be used ingame. See Hash Rush for an example of how this could work.
There are also crypto based on the idea that the blockchain could be used not just for currency but to store actual in game items and even entire characters. Can't remember the company's name atm but a quick google search for -blockchain ingame items- should get you there. I would be really interested in seeing your take on that type of use case for blockchain in a video tho.

i think this would work great as long as it doesn-t affect people that cheat in single player only games! i find it incredibly annoying when a game company punishes people for cheating in single player or even co-op! for example if i remember correctly in dungeon defenders one people cheated in op weapons and pets and would have all their items taken away for it

Best thing would be to demo a blockchain anti-cheating system within a F2P game and gather the data to see if it is indeed worth it.
Personally, ANYTHING that stops cheating would work for me as I stopped playing most games with people being right scumbags and opted to play self hosted co-op games that 100% ensured that people were not cheating!

Developer cheating to me with pay to win or free to play ( almost same mechanics) why i cant use cheat for my own fun on my single player game ? On online game is bad but when i cheatin on my own single player game go to f-uck you pay to win sh-t

I haven't seen an aimbotter in cod on ps4 but I have seen cheaters on Dark souls and GTA . To erase all types of cheats seems too hard. Since games are released with exploits in them. Like the single player cheats.

I am pretty sure fortnites vbucks are an erc20 token ran on a private network few weeks away erc20 tokens transfers were suspended for a few hours and vbuck purchases were disabled at the same time.

Corps can implement a tax in both block generation rewards and transaction fees if they wanted to which would give them a return on the network as long as their currency remained relevant.

Block chains are a waste of money and effort. By definition they require resources in order to activate and are irrational on the scale you're talking about it's just a buzzword right now

this sh!t ain't possible. who came with the idea for this video?
perhaps you mean a different kind of cheating. like cheating when trading games and sh!t. not actual in game cheating.
