Good morning Gameranx: I like to hear what your position on Backward compatibility, I've been lucky enough to have all the version of XBox and PS consoles. I very rarely trade in games with the thought I will revisit/replay them at some point. So why hasn't Sony/Microsoft figured out that all their game console release should be backward giving us the opportunity to play any game from the previous console. I do realize that part of this is a profit issue. However for has many console as both companies sell with each new upgrade, give us a little brake, the price on these game of 40,50 and 60 a pop with decrease value in a very shortly after release. A little free backward compatibility would hurt the industry at all. . Just a thought. Looking to hear you response. Thank for making these great review. v/r KnightShadow.

I think one of the biggest problems the Xbox had this generation is that MS didn't really care about promoting it and pushing it outside of the US and some specific countries.
Most of the European countries didn't see any promotion or push with Xbox One and still don't. Even most countries in the EU still aren't on the Xbox radar to this day. They just don't care, but Sony cares very much about every single market. And that's why they are so far ahead right now.
Where I live (which is Croatia) everyone and their grandma has a PS4 at home. Almost nobody has an Xbox One and I'm very much an oddity for owning one.

speak for yourself , gamers do care.. its call multimedia entertainment , what will make or break the next xbox , the price plain and simple , sony knows this and microsoft knows this.. they can always remake that revenue through multimedia products. want to move volumes of xbox or sony playstation work on your price thats it.. lets see who can move 1 million units the quickest.

-Older- video, I know... but I have to say that when I picked up the Xbox One S near its launch, it was mianly because of the Entertainment side of things compared to PS4. I wanted a blu-ray player, streamer, etc.. all in one system. That was actually the appeal, 55% only was gaming side of things. I don't game that much on console; I'm horrible with controllers.

Microsoft is saying with the two quotes where you think they're going in a circle is that the hardware won't matter there will be two different Xboxes what will matter is how many to sell because it would only increase the network because of the OS

I don't think Microsoft needs to make the XBox ONLY a gaming console, but they really needed to target their announcements better at the events. Even to the point of having multiple announcements that are targeted at specific markets.

The picture y'all used was perfect cause the Xbox Series X looks just like it except for the colors but you even got that it may look like a p.c tower so kudos to you.
