10 Most USELESS Things to Have as a Gamer WarSprite: LoL Steam Points are useful to change up your steam accounts visuals or backgrounds, emotes, plus you can also collect game cards for games you have which helps to enhance your Steam Level which counts toward your Community Rating which is Your Combined Level As A Veteran Steam Gamer, hence why Noobs can't get them Unless you Earn Them.
So no the points may not even be very useful but they Do Serve a Purpose. Best time to use your Steam Points? Steam specific sales for cool holiday stuff which comes in handy sometimes.

I got a lifetime subscription to champions online at launch. I think I almost got my money's worth. A few months ago I discovered that when the game went free to play, they switched to giving the lifetime subs a monthly payment of premium currency, 8 years of it. I cashed out, bought every single piece of pay to win garbage available. I had one glorious weekend of curbstomping everything in sight. I made the whales cry. That was the best and last time I have had playing MMOs.

10: 02 I hope this doesn't go against the grain of marketing physical gaming devices. You can use RetroArch on your Android/Cellphone, completely free, not even an option for paid upgrade, and it will emulate HUNDREDS of gaming devices for free, as small as Atari 2600 to Sony Playstation 2.
So instead of buying a gaming device, I bought a superior joystick that attaches to my cellphone and have all the gaming experience of retro I want - without buying a gaming device.

13: 05 I type 135wpm with over 99% accuracy. I am not shitting you. The secret to my success? Take your keyboard and rotate it counter-clockwise 22-degrees. This forces greater accuracy out of your fingers and you start to work on a 2-dimensional if not 1. 5-dimensional field instead of just a straight line across.
I have no idea what this SafeType disaster is, I found my center without it.

Bro, the original Xbox is a beast of machine. It takes 2 minutes and hardly any knowledge to remove the cap and do a soft mod. 10 minutes of YT videos and maybe 25 later, you can turn the OG Xbox into a hell of an emulation machine for 8, 16, and some 32bit games. If you have one, watch a video, open it up, and rip out that busted cap.

I got a Logitech G13 a couple years ago (before they were discontinued. Cost me like 125. I've since used it for about 45 minutes total. I only got it because I had wanted one so long, but by the time I did I wasn't using my desk for gaming (from my sofa on the TV instead. I love the idea of it more than the actual thing, I think.

Gotta hand it to Bethesda for having maps in their physical copies of TES games. And Fallout 4 had a fun perk poster to hang up. Mass Effect being able to flip the cover paper to include FemaleShep. I wonder if any will continue that in the years to come. I doubt it but it was fun when it lasted.

Liked the video, but steam points are visible right in the shop tab, not that hidden and can be used to buy emotes and backgrounds as well as the seasonal badges, so free leveling up (not free, but you don't have to buy cards or anything because it's from the money you've spent on games)

For lifetime subs, the last i knows STO was still doing it and it wasnt such a bad thing.
LotRO had a lifetime sub sale way back, when the studio owning it sold it to the next.
Both of them offer a monthly ingame currency in the value of around 5 dollars and other benefits.

So, I still have an original Xbox that works. At least, it did 3 months ago when we dug out all our old consoles and hooked them up to a tv to check if they worked. Along with a ps1, 2 ps2 s and a nintendo 64. I didn t even know it was meant to have any issues with its system.
